I am on my second one. The first one was great until I stupidly tried to cut an irregular shaped object and it kicked back and up and broke the chute and other parts.
I have purchased a new one but have not hooked it up yet.
In my opinion, the 2nd generation worked soooooo much better than the 1st generation it is not funny!!!

I had the older (original) version of the Bosch dust collector from Travis and managed to destroy it cutting something I shouldn't have on my chop saw. (Oops!) The dust collection was great on the old one, and the new unit is just as fabulous and even easier to install. It really doesn't get in the way, and this is definitely a step up from the dust collection that comes with the Bosch. Do yourself a favor and upgrade - it's worth the price to capture that dust at the source. Thanks Travis, for making a great product and helping me keep my shop clean(er).

I should have watch the install video first, but I muddled through the install. I'm very happy with how much more dust it collects. I have the Bosch compound sliding saw. In my opinion its only flaw was dust collection. Well that has been fixed, thanks to shop nations system. I've only cut two pieces of wood to test it out. Huge improvement, I'm very happy with purchase.

I really wanted to like it, and it does capture dust better than the exisitng one, but still not satisfied with it. Dust still shoots up everywhere. I was also not satisfied with the way vacuum is connected either. I use 2in ridgid hose, and it turned out it zip ties tied to to the cord is too weak to hold 2in vacuum hose. I had to use many more ties, and and to come up with ways to attach to the arm. Vacuum hose also interfered with glide the lock, which I had to move the hose behind the arm.
I wish there were more parts made sophisticated to hold hose and not interfere with existing parts, instead of just providing two zip ties.

Have yet to install it.Very disappointed that the instructions were a QR code. I am old school and do not have access to a smart phone. Whatever happened to written instructions with pictures. My grandson helped me find a decent video on Youtube that was helpful. I have had other personal issues right after my purchase.Will update you when I am able to install it.

I had high expectations based on other reviews but confess I'm underwhelmed. It's maybe a 25% improvement over the stock system the saw came with, even after switching the collector from a bucket top vac to my main shop dust collection system. It swirls the dust around behind the blade more but ultimately doesn't draw as much as expected into the collection throat. The search continues!

I find it does help with the dust that is getting thrown back but I find more gets blasted at me, it think its bouncing off the V reinforcement where the blade goes through, but it is an improvement.

I recently installed a Shop Nation Bosch Axial Glide Miter Saw Dust Chute (Gen II) on my 12" Bosch miter saw. The installation was very simple and easy with removing a few screws and reinstalling them a few minutes later. The dust chute works much better than the factory installed chute on my saw. I have now removed the funky shaped plywood box that I made for this purpose am very happy. The chute removes over 95% of dust produced by the saw. I recommend this chute and will buy again if I change my saw.

A few years ago, in the pursuit of Shop Greatness, I installed the V 11 and enjoyed the functionality immensely, until I wasn't paying attention, didn't have proper fence support and experienced a catastrophic kickback that shattered the 'ol girl. The V 16 is now installed with the fancy dancy hose feature, that installed slick-n-quick! Thanks for the fast service and keeping me going!

It doesn't stay in place when the blade is raised and lowered. The rubber flap hits the fence and causes the chute body to move and fall off. There are holes on the chute but they don't align with any holes on the saw to securely attach it. Am I supposed to drill holes in my saw to put in screws to secure it? Doesn't seem right.

Well, I really wanted to like this product… after using it several times it seemed to do an ok job. But then the scariest thing happened! It exploded. Shrapnel went everywhere! Luckily neither myself or my wife who was helping didn’t receive any major injuries. I was struck by several of the small pieces and she was almost hit in the face with a larger piece. I reached out to the company but I’ve gotten nothing but crickets. At this point I’m considering having our attorney look into this. This product needs a lot of improvement to be considered safe! Avoid at all cost!

This attachment massively improves dust collection. Pairing it with the custom dust hood I built results in zero dust getting behind the work bench and just tiny unavoidable quantities escaping to the sides of the blade which are very easy to vacuum up. It does 95 percent of the job on it own. If I had this to begin with, I probably wouldn't have bothered building the dust hood.

I purchased the system for a Bosch saw and installation was very straight forward with one exception. Thee was one more guard on my saw that covered the cord near the location of the metal saw guard. Once it was also removed the rest was very simple. Dust collection has vastly improved.

By all reviews, I thought it would be around 94 % efficiency. But I'd put it around 82% im using a 1250 CFM Grizzly 1.5 hrp 0.03 micron wall hepa filter dust collection system and have unnecessary dust ports closed causing a higher suction. I've noticed the slower i apply the blade pressure is about the 82% efficiency result. I did talk to a sales person prior om a 12" Delta Cruiser issues. So I sold it and got this Bosch 12" i was hoping for 93% efficiency.

The dust components and performance are excellent. However, there are a few needed upgrades. The mounting block doesn't work well with the existing fasteners. I replaced mine with #6 self-taping screws, and it worked great.
The mounting for the dust extraction hose is not well thought out. If you have to install and remove your shop vacuum because you only have one and multiple tools, it puts considerable strain on the saw wiring when you zip-tie the vacuum connection. I would pay more for a more solid 3D printed option.

Love the fit, it was super easy to install with little effort. The only unfortunate issue I had, is that this is the second system I had to purchase as the first one exploded while cutting and the off cut shot into and out of the back of the dust shoot.

I like the product. It definitely collected more dust than the factory Bosch Shute. I wish it had a better attachment other than the zip ties. The factor version attaches securely with screws but I assume that there are too many models out there to make it practical to have an aftermarket version for every saw.
