It doesn't stay in place when the blade is raised and lowered. The rubber flap hits the fence and causes the chute body to move and fall off. There are holes on the chute but they don't align with any holes on the saw to securely attach it. Am I supposed to drill holes in my saw to put in screws to secure it? Doesn't seem right.

Well, I really wanted to like this product… after using it several times it seemed to do an ok job. But then the scariest thing happened! It exploded. Shrapnel went everywhere! Luckily neither myself or my wife who was helping didn’t receive any major injuries. I was struck by several of the small pieces and she was almost hit in the face with a larger piece. I reached out to the company but I’ve gotten nothing but crickets. At this point I’m considering having our attorney look into this. This product needs a lot of improvement to be considered safe! Avoid at all cost!

This attachment massively improves dust collection. Pairing it with the custom dust hood I built results in zero dust getting behind the work bench and just tiny unavoidable quantities escaping to the sides of the blade which are very easy to vacuum up. It does 95 percent of the job on it own. If I had this to begin with, I probably wouldn't have bothered building the dust hood.

I purchased the system for a Bosch saw and installation was very straight forward with one exception. Thee was one more guard on my saw that covered the cord near the location of the metal saw guard. Once it was also removed the rest was very simple. Dust collection has vastly improved.

By all reviews, I thought it would be around 94 % efficiency. But I'd put it around 82% im using a 1250 CFM Grizzly 1.5 hrp 0.03 micron wall hepa filter dust collection system and have unnecessary dust ports closed causing a higher suction. I've noticed the slower i apply the blade pressure is about the 82% efficiency result. I did talk to a sales person prior om a 12" Delta Cruiser issues. So I sold it and got this Bosch 12" i was hoping for 93% efficiency.

The dust components and performance are excellent. However, there are a few needed upgrades. The mounting block doesn't work well with the existing fasteners. I replaced mine with #6 self-taping screws, and it worked great.
The mounting for the dust extraction hose is not well thought out. If you have to install and remove your shop vacuum because you only have one and multiple tools, it puts considerable strain on the saw wiring when you zip-tie the vacuum connection. I would pay more for a more solid 3D printed option.

Love the fit, it was super easy to install with little effort. The only unfortunate issue I had, is that this is the second system I had to purchase as the first one exploded while cutting and the off cut shot into and out of the back of the dust shoot.

I like the product. It definitely collected more dust than the factory Bosch Shute. I wish it had a better attachment other than the zip ties. The factor version attaches securely with screws but I assume that there are too many models out there to make it practical to have an aftermarket version for every saw.

The dust collection is a definite improvement, Its not perfect but I wouldn't expect miter saw dust collection to be. I would give the product 5 stars but as much thought as was put into the dust collection "mouth", the mounting for where your hose connects is disappointing. Just zip-tying the connection to your saw is weak and floppy, and the 2.5" connection makes the attachment even more awkward. These are already custom to specific saws, I would like to see hose attachments tailored to individual saw. As it stands I have the hose temporarily attached off the saw until I figure out a better solution.

The upgraded dust collection assembly demonstrates a quantifiable increase in particulate capture efficiency under standard operating conditions. Per manufacturer specifications, the system is rated to accommodate 8/4 stock; however, its physical envelope imposes a reduction in the saw’s maximum material handling capacity.
During extended cutting operations involving multiple 4.00 in × 8.00 in (nominal) beams, the dust collection inlet experienced physical interference with the workpiece, resulting in an inability to make the required cuts.
The assembly is mounted via two knurled retention knobs, enabling rapid tool less removal — a feature that improves serviceability. However, detachment of the unit eliminates all dust collection functionality, thereby reverting the saw to an unmitigated debris discharge condition.

I have the Bosch 12” Glide Miter. It is a great saw except for its dust collection. That is pathetic. It was so bad that about half the time I didn’t even bother to turn my dust collection on. When I added the Shop Nation dust chute, it made a world of difference. Since adding the chute I’ve cut thin stock, thick stock (2 7/8”), and wide stock (8 1/2”). It worked great in each case.
Installation was fairly easy. The only issue I had was accessing one screw located on the right side of the saw. It that was partially blocked where the power cord came thru the saws glide frame. I found I could push the cord thru the frame enough to get the slack I needed to access the screw. The rest of the installation was easy.
I highly recommend the chute to any user of this saw.

Great idea and we'll made. Really appreciate the flexible shield and extra sheet. The only area for improvement would be in attaching the hose. I had someone else's that had a hose clamp the screwed into a pivot point. It's was also 3d printed but didn't last long. I ran across you products and decided to give it a try. I've also been watching your YouTube channel about 3d printing, great stuff! We'll presented without extraneous banter and great production quality.

This is an awesome improvement to my Bosch miter saw. The original dust collection is really bad. With this, the saw becomes virtually dust free. The design is very good, installation instruction video is excellent and the installation is easy. Now the only crappy function remaining in my Bosch is the laser which is impossible to adjust so that both left and right beams would precisely match with the saw blade.

I had one hickup with the installation. One connector piece was tightly embedded in another for shipping. Mine was black and the one in the video was blue. At first I thought I was missing the connector. Luckily I pushed the two pieces apart before I sent an email asking for the replacement. In hindsight it was silly, but I suspect others might make the same mistake.
Other than that, the installation was very easy and the instructions were clear. Based on my test cuts, this dust chute clearly outperforms the original.

Dramatic improvement over the stock dust collection port. Miter saws are notorious for kicking around dust, but this upgrade provides a huge improvement and is a must for minimizing dust and debris.

Dust collection is noticeably improved, but in order to fully collect dust, the vacuum port needs to be a full 2-1/2 in order to pull full flow with a shop dust collector. The small hose to larger hose adapter still drops the dust collector fan off the fan performance curve. The smaller hose setup works pretty well for a large shop vac but just not for a dust collector setup like mine.
If the vacuum port was a 2-1/2" adapter with reducers for other hose sizes it would work better.
Installation was very easy, it appears to be well made, but it only gets me to the 10 yard line from a dust standpoint, so it is not likely I would have bought it from the price/value standpoint knowing this ahead of time.

The dust collection on my Bosch miter saw is vastly improved. The 2.5” adapter is a little tight for my shop vac hose. I can barely get it to stay in the adapter. Perhaps it should be tapered a bit to allow for a better compression fit.

It all fitted very easily but the supplied hose was way to short because my extraction is to the right side of the saw and I did not realise that there was a longer hose option. Then you have to have the fence opening wide otherwise you can do a rearward cut but then you cannot bring the saw forward as the rubber part fouls on the fence. For many cuts you want this opening small or you fit a zero clearance fence so a problem here.
