Pros: I have a Dewalt DW708. This improved my dust collection by about 70% which is about 150% better than what I had before. Install was easy and intuitive, product description was realistic and accurate in terms of managing expectations with this particular DeWalt model. Cons: Unfortunately I can't give it the 5 stars I'd like to because it broke less than a month into use. A piece of HDPE about 1/2 deep, 3/16 thick and 4.5 inches long shot behind the blade and blew a hole in the main body less than a month in. I was able to scoot the rubber insert as far back into it's mating channel as it could go and patch the remaining gap with duct tape so it's still functional - but the overall brittleness of the plastic makes me question it's longevity.

I think the overall experience is best ever. All makers and DIYer would expect, fast shipping, great website with lots of clarity, the product arriving exactly in the time expected and the product looks exactly as expected and high quality (with excellent packaging and fantastic instruction video which really should be the ay to go nowadays for every thing). Unfortunately for me I did take a gamble for my DE708 Type 4, hoping the type 1-3 would work for mine (as some commenters indicated it did for them). SN had enough clear disclaimers that it would not work for most and even the video references it so I have no problem with that. The only star I haven’t given is just to push Travis into finally making the Type 4 version before my house gets buried in the Great Sawdust Tsunami of 2026

Install was easy no problems. My chop saw is a Dewalt 708 that originally came with a dust bag that never worked. When weather permitting and sometimes not I would wheel it outside to keep the dust down. I have it hooked up to my Festool vacuum now. I am blown away by how well it works. I highly recommend it.

This is an amazing addition to my saw. It collects the vast majority of the sawdust, which is a huge improvement over the stock dust collection features.

The dust collector works great, and I'm sure looking forward to not always having to clean up behind the saw so much, maybe only a little at the saw itself. As indicated in the video the device will catch most all of the sawdust, but not necessarily everything. I'm just happy it's designed in a way with the flexible flap to not let the dust just spew everywhere. I've been wanting something like this for years, and I'm glad I was able to find this and get it.

It makes a great different as compare to before I install it. I would definitely recommend to anyone. Don't get me wrong It not totally dust free but if I have to guess I would said is at least 90 to 95 percent of improvement. I only wish it was a little cheaper, but it well worth it.

These parts are well thought out and fit like they should. The dust catch collects most of the dust just like advertised and the slower the cut the better the dust collection. I'd recommend this product for your miter saw.

I have the DeWalt 708 model revision four, but it has the side plate and this attached effortlessly I would highly recommend it to anybody but keep in mind. It does not collect 100% of the dust some of the heavies make it by but all of the fine dust is collected. I love the job that they’re doing over there. I would love one for my DeWalt 705 series. Hopefully they’ll come up with that one. I recommend your products.

This thing is amazing on my Dewalt 708 Type 3. I watched the installation video and had it installed in a matter of minutes. I cleaned up behind my saw and then tried it several times. There wasn’t a spec of dust around the saw afterwards. So glad I saw the ad for it online.
I will also say the customer service is phenomenal. The website showed this as unavailable for my old saw. I wrote them and received an immediate response that they would investigate. In just a few days, they wrote back to say it was now available. That was greatly appreciated.

It I installed had an issue... The screw in 1.0" piece broke in two pieces. Too Thin. Removed the remnant broken pieces. Attached the flexible hose with only a 1/2" of material left of the screw in piece.
It would be helpful if you sent me a replacement connector.

This is a well thought out product. I am using it on an 20 year old DeWalt 708 sliding compound miter saw . A great saw with perhaps some of the worst dust collection I have seen. This chute is catching 85 to 90 percent of the dust . It is amazing ! Even when cutting Azek! Highly recommend.

The package was delayed due to very lousy weather but that is just what it is. I installed the dust collector as per you installation video and all went very well. I have tried a couple of small cuts and the dust collector seems to work very well. One suggestion. I manufacture a small 2" standoff that attaches to the plate at the rear of the head of the saw and used to attach the short hose to. I find that this guides the hose better when sliding the saw back and forth. see attached picture.

I bought a replacement dust collection chute for my DeWalt DW708 miter saw from y'all a few years ago when the original part cracked. It did the job...sort of. Let's just say it was better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick, but still dust was a problem. Then you came up with a new design, but for Type 1-3. I saw the picture that showed "must have this feature", which my Type 4 has, so I thought I'd roll the dice and drop a Ulysses on it. Well, I'm happy to report that it fit and works wonderfully. There's still a small amount of dust that escapes, but nothing like before. In fact, it's barely noticeable. My only suggestion is to make the 2.5" adapter a little less snug or some better way to connect to the vacuum hose. I swore I was going to crack it trying to separate the two. Now I barely mate them, but they stay together.

I was ct pleased how well the dust vacuum attachment helped on my Dewalt saw. I did make a zero clearance insert myself that helps too. Easy to install but I had to make a bracket and extend the flex tubing on the sliding saw.

Only the first day with the new attachment but already the dust is significantly reduced. Haven’t cut any MDF yet but the reduction was at least 85-90% with soft and hard woods so I’m thrilled. Also what little dust there is now just falls to the back and sides and is no longer airborne like before. Super happy and would highly recommend the product.

It was a great fit and really simple to install! The only little hiccup was that the vacuum tube connecting to my dust collection system was a bit on the short side. An extra 2”-3” in length would have made it even easier to set up comfortably and attach to the radial arm end. I am extremely pleased with how much difference it made in controlling the amount of sawdust it normally creates.

This addition to my miter saw keeps the dust to a minimum. Clean up is just emptying the shop vac instead of sweeping up the saw dust. I wish I knew about this years ago.

The dust collector functions far better than Dewalt’s original design so I am glad I purchased your product.
The quality of the attachment seems off; thin and brittle, so I hope it lasts. The rubber insert does not remain in place therefore falls out. I’m hesitant to add adhesive or small screws to secure it.

Dust collector does what it was designed to do. Allows most of the dust from the saw blade to be drawn into the dust collector system in my shop instead of being broadcast all over everything else in the shop.

Unit cracked attaching it to my milwaukee vacuum. Slightly too small. I was sent a new one which fit even worse, it was about .5mm smaller than the original one that cracked. Sent email about issue, never heard back.

It didn't fit. I do have a DeWalt DW708, but I have a model 4 and what I ordered only fits models 1, 2, & 3. Maybe some 4's. Would have been nice to know I should check the model before I proceeded with the order. I had to ship it back.

I’ve had DEWALT 708 forever and always struggled with the amount of dust this saw makes and kicks up. I’ve used a few other systems to help but when it’s in the shops it was always a huge mess. This works far better than anything else I’ve had and with the lack of intrinsic design by dewalt thi system works very well and is a huge improvement
