The unit did not line up correctly, the blade would have cut into the appliance as it was not parallel to the blade. I remedied the issue by inserting a couple of washers on the offending side.

I ordered one for my saw. It didn’t fit. I assumed I had made an error in selecting my correct model number, so I ordered again. This one also didn’t fit. I reached out to customer service to verify if I did in fact have the correct model number. They gave me the runaround, couldn’t confirm my model number, and reassured me that I could return it. I didn’t want to return it, I wanted one that fit. With some slight modifications I got it to fit. Not sure if that’s standard procedure or not. 2/5.

Installation is fairly easy, parts are well made and fit like Dewalt made them. With your shop vac attached it catches most of the dust. Seems like if it was wider at the bottom it might catch more of the dust. Very happy with the purchase.

After 2 days of use I can say that this dust extractor hookup is very good to excellent. The instructions were clear and installation went smoothly. Took me about 10/15 minutes. The design is very good and chop saw movement/clearances are great. This product catches almost as much as a chop saw hood will, without the hassle.

Ordered my dust collector off ShopNation for my DeWalt chop saw and absolutely LOVE IT! A very unhappy customer!
Came damaged, sent photos and emailed their customer service. They said they would need to get it back and analyze it first before sending out a new one. Told them I was in a rush deadline. I would try using it while they sent a replacement. They said if I used it, they wouldn’t take it back. It’s a $20 piece of plastic that wasn’t padded in box. They agree it’s a shipping problem, and yet they won’t try to help out a customer. Lousy customer service, I’m returning it for a full refund and they need to pay the return shipping.

I went into this purchase assuming it wouldn’t fit exactly because my Dewalt is very old. I revamped it a little and got it to work but not much better than what I already had. The unit I’m sure would work well on the right machine. No fault to the design but rather just my inability to modify it enough to make it work well. Good luck.

I was very pleased with the construction of the parts, I would call them , heavy duty.
The instructions were very clear and the pictures were clear and helpful.
I did have to apply heat to the pickup tube so that the blade could come down all the way but " no big deal."
All in all, it was an EASY install and it functions perfectly.
It gathers 99.9%of the saw dust, I couldn't be happier.

Very difficult to get lined up, the brass inserts on the exhaust chute did not line up with the factory screw hole. Took about an hour to get it to fit.

Think my saw may have been slightly different and taking off old dust chute was a little bit of a challenge. However, I did manage to get it off and install new. I have not used it much, but think it will do a much more affective job than original equipment. Great idea - thanks!

The dust collector works great. The zero-clearance inserts, however, did not match up with the screw holds in the saw - I had to drill them out a bit so get the screws to fit the saw. I did order the correct insert for my saw model, so that was not the problem.

The idea is great! It significantly reduced the dust. And let me know just how powerful my dust attachment really is. The airflow increased a lot. The model for DWS715 didn't have an option to just ’print it yourself’. Which was a little disappointing, as a 3D printer enthusiast. But, I'm glad I had it printed and sent. As Shop Nation's print quality was outstanding! All the parts went together very easy, and the instructional video was very clear! One snag was the connection to my dust collection hoses. I purchased both adapters, just to make sure. Ended up not fitting either hose that I own. Had to employ my own 3D printing skills to make a proper adaptor. But hey, that's why I bought the 3D printer in the first place.

Works great for non-bevel cuts which are what I make 99% of the time. The only issue I have is that it appears that the insert that blocks the debris from the blade during the cut will be cut by the blade during 45 degree cuts from the left side. This is because it is contacting the immovable fence on the right causing the insert to fold up into the path of the blade. Have this installed on DWS 715. Haven’t made any of these cuts yet so I’m not sure it’s going to be a problem. Will update when I have made a cut from the left. Otherwise, when connected to my shop vac this attachment is great.

Installation was very easy . Not very happy with the performance of this item . Not much better than the stock dust port . As you can see in the before and after photos . A lot of dust still not being collected. I was not expecting all of the dust to be collected but thought it would be better than this . This saw is hooked up to a brand new fein turbo 1 vacuum .

I could not get the second bolt to line up on my dw715. With that said it does do what it shows. It probably catches 95% of all dust and the rest just falls to the floor. It will save a lot of clean up time.

The rubber piece ripped immediately. It should be made out of a more durable material. It would be better if the flexible hose was rigid so that it doesn't lay over and get in the way of the wheel that adjusts the bevel. At best, the dust collection is marginally better than stock.

This actually works! Everything I'd tried previously was so ineffective I found myself reluctant to even take the time to turn on the shop vac. I mean, why bother? I was going to have to clean up the station anyway. With this it's actually satisfying seeing the bulk of the sawdust being captured.

Removal of the DWS XPS guard and existing dust shoot is a little different than the models presented but not difficult to figure it out. The design is ingenious. Using a rubber sheet to contour the base plate and funnel the dust I to the port provides exceptional dust collection.

The black rubber piece hits on my fence when I cut a 45° angle to the left. In turn, it causes the rubber to come up and my blade chews a hole in it . It looks like the proper kit has been sent out for my model saw . I watched the video and it was an easy install for me . I have sent pictures and have had repeated emails back to your company, but I have not received any response back from the customer service team.
At this point, I am in favor of asking for a full refund.

Disassembly wasn't quite as straight forward as I expected, I had to carefully watch through the installation video a couple times but I was able to figure it out pretty quickly. The new unit went on painlessly and works pretty amazingly.
My only beef is shaving a little more than a kerf width off of small stock. The small pieces tend to get sucked in and jam up the works. But it's quick and easy to rectify and the increase in performance is well worth it for me in my shop. I'm a huge fan.

I do like this as an improvement to my chop saw.
It does a great job and is the best single attachment I’ve used for this purpose.
If I make a nice slow cut this does a great job and even seems to suck in most of the fines.
Making skim cuts or cutting quickly will still throw a fair amount of dust. I don’t think that’s avoidable with anything but just don’t expect this product to do the impossible.
I’d liked to have given this a 5 star review but I think the fit and finish needs slight improvement to be a truly excellent item. Having said that I’m still very happy with it and stoked to have small businesses being creative and inventive!

Adding the dust collection onto my miter saw has been the most improved addon to my saw. I would spent time cleaning up the dust. But now, I don't spend anytime at all cleaning up the dust. It does not capture all the dust, but at least 95% of the dust. Really impressed by the product! Kudos to the engineering team!

It took me a few minutes to figure out that the dust extractor goes goes much higher than I thought. Once I figured that out, I realized I didn’t have a torx 30 screwdriver or a bit. I went to Lowe’s and bought the appropriate tip. It cost about four dollars. Then I came back and installed it installation took approximately five minutes. I was surprised at how much sawdust it picked up. Using my miter saw as a much more pleasant experience now. While I am not a volume user, even having it on for a few minutes a week makes a huge difference in the amount of sawdust. I have to pick up. Strong work.
