I had just purchased my Dewalt 780 miter saw not long before I purchased your dust system. The difference before and after the installation made it a huge improvement. I have a very small shop, so any debris or wood shavings not contained on some level would be overwhelming to work in. My first use was a 1 1/4" x 11" wide pine board and very little debris around the area. I did cut into the shroud during this cut (as you can see from the photo. I'm not sure how installing a zero clearance fence is going to work out. I also bought extra shroud material. Very much worth the purchase.

Bought one months ago installed on my saw after using it awhile noticed more dust than 1st installed. After checking found it was broken and rubber coming out. Several attempts to repair it failed
Ordered new one just received it and installed only used a couple times and noticed rubber deflector torn. Biggest .piece of trash ever bought.

The components were high quality and robust. The installation video was very clear and I had no problem installing it. It worked well once I removed a cheap dust extractor. The parts are just cheap. I think the 3d printed plastic could be better. When trying to swap the OD attachments, I cracked one with my hands. It was almost impossible to swap them, I don't like that design. The material for the pump I hope lasts. Was hoping it would be more shop vac / rigid / DeWalt hose quality. Plus, the zip ties are just gross. Pulling on some random saw cable for stability??

Absolutely love this part. I've had my flexvolt miter saw for 7 or 8 years and love it but the stock dust collection was a joke. Even with an extractor attached anything behind the saw would get coated in dust with every cut. This part took minutes to install and captures virtually all of the dust. Extremely pleased and wholeheartedly recommend it.

This has made the biggest difference in dust management when using the miter saw! The miter saw dust collection attachment has eliminated the need for a dust hood. If I forget to turn on the vacuum, I'm immediately reminded how well the Shop Nation miter saw attachment is working.

I love the genius design and how flawlessly it integrates into the existing mechanical setup. One of the main issues with the DWS780 is the dust collection port being at the very back of the saw and this completely reroutes the hose, fixing multiple problems with one kit!

So the install easy, watch a YouTube video for guidance. This cuts and picks up well, for flat stock items. Anything taller than a few inches the rubber guard gets caught and torn. For example, don’t try and cut baseboard 3.5 or higher.

Gave it 4 stars. Definitely a big improvement over factory supply dust collection. Works great with wood but not as good on PVC products. Not sure why. I’ll check my setup and see if I can improve anything.

Chute works...which is more than can be said for the original, which was essentially useless. The only challenge during installation was eventually realizing that the new chute REPLACES the rear blade guard AND the original chute. Otherwise, installation was painless, thanks to the video.

I have it attached to a installed vacuum that will turn on when ever you pull the trigger on my Chop Saw. I worked effectively. Not quite as well as I had hoped, however it did indeed cut down on the sawdust.

I had to remove the fence , because when I used my OEM fence it pushed down the rubber flap. So I was cutting 2x6s and it caught the rubber and destroyed it.
I’ve removed my fence , and it’s improved since then. It just sucks because now I can’t cut as many boards at once . But oh well

I will upload pictures later. I really like the DeWalt DWS779 Sliding Miter Saw Dust Collection Upgrade unit, it performs a thousand times better than the stock DeWalt DWS779 Sliding Miter Saw Dust Collection. The saw is almost dust free now. I only have one issue with the dust collector upgrade, the rubber chute, it doesn't go far enough into the channel, so when the rubber hit the piece of wood, I was cutting, it ripped at the screw attaching point, it was right on the edge. I am in the process of making a new chute out of vinyl and leather with mini eyelets at the attaching points and using mini nuts, washers and bolts for the through holes to help prevent tearing the chute. I will let you know how the fix goes.

This only works for simple cuts that don’t need a tall fence and with cheap blades. It gets in the way when cutting bevels on trim upright and has to be removed to change out blades when using a high quality blade. Turned out to be a waste of money for me.

Miter saw the worst dust collection tool that I know of. My 5 inch random orbital sander has better dust collection. Much better than it was before. Good product.

Three observations:
1. It's grabbing 75% of dust with my dust collection system, which is a tremendous improvement.
2. The slot for the rubber "shield" could be deeper.

It does work better than the stock dust chute and collects about 90-95% of the dust. It’s probably one of the best dust collection solutions out there. Very impressive. This is one of the cheapest and most effective upgrade you can make to your Dewalt 12” inch sliding miter saw.

Ideal for the shop. We used it on site for a large trim job and had some issues. The vinyl flap gets torn when you put the saw on compound a compound mitre. Also had one break from a small piece of material that got loose.
I think for the shop, on a stable base and mostly 90 degree cuts, it is a nice addition for dust control.

Fits great! Wish I had seen the 3d print file option before I ordered, but still happy with the design and quality. I have a small shop vac hose that is smaller than the main attachment. Not an issue with the design, just need a reducer option.

Works absolutely wonderful when used without the slide feature of the saw. However when using the slide mechanism and the fence is closed up, it pushes the flexible dust shoot into the blade.

It doesn't work like I hoped it would. I was planning to use it without a vacuum hooked to it, but since it's now routed over the saw, there isn't enough force to send the dust through it. With the vacuum hooked up, it's fine.
Also, it's very difficult to change the blade with the collector hooked up. The teeth of the blade dig into the collector when taking the blade on and off.

It was easy to install and draws air very well. My only advice is to make the flexible tube a couple inches longer. I am hooking it directly to a 4” dust collector line, and it would be nice to have a bit more room for that large adaptor to get it away from the saw motor. Otherwise, a great design, great product and a vast improvement over the original from Dewalt.

Initially, I thought this is a bit pricey, but then I remembered what Dad always said, “You get what you pay for.” This makes other “dust collection systems” look sick.
