Was very hopeful this product would work but its really not any better than what came on the saw. I have included a video for review. While cutting any piece 2" or thicker the back rubber piece gets cut by the blade and sawdust goes everywhere. Easy to install and directions were good but it simply doesn't work as advertised.

While the saw dust collection stops a lot the saw dust from spraying in the back off the saw, a lot more debris now comes toward the saw operator, potentially causing a safety issue. Good product, just needs a little more work

The fit on my Dewalt saw is great. I feel like it does a better job at collecting dust than factory. The routing of the included hose is still a work in progress. Just need to decide what's the best for my purpose. I did use a screw to keep the twist adapter on as it would come loose when hose was not secured and left hanging.

Easy install. I haven't verified the claim of better dust extraction yet. So long as it's equivalent, I'm happy. I purchased this to eliminate the dust port. Stupid design by DeWalt to make a large tool a ridiculously large tool. I am impressed by the quality of the 3D printed parts. Nice touch including an additional screw I'm convinced the presence of a spare makes the spare unnecessary.

Would love to have given this equipment a 5 star because I was hopeful it would work like they show in your video. It was very easy to assemble and the directions were good! Unfortunately this equipment is horrible and doesn't work much better than the dust collector that comes on this Dewalt, which is pathetic. I really hope you come up with something better in the future. I spend a lot of $$$ on this system and it just doesn't work. For as much as I spent on this system I hope you will send me an updated model that actually works. Sorry for the bad review!

The installation was a challenge. I was excited to use it. When you 1st start a cut, the rubber catcher works great. But as the cut goes all the way back, the rubber catcher goes vertical, and the sawdust goes everywhere. Not what I was expecting.

I found the dust collection for my DeWalt saw to be MUCH worse if not using a vacuum attached to the hose. Many times if I have one or two cuts I will use the DeWalt bag that attached to the hose but now it’s a lot worse. Using a vacuum attached to the dust collection is much improved over the standard system, so my feelings are mixed.

The installation took ten minutes and I was back to work. Only issue I had was that the flap gets stuck making miters in the dw780 when the high fence is pulled in and gets cut up. Would recommend buying extra flaps.

This took me a long time before I could install the dust collector. Been just too busy setting up my little garage shop.
Installation was easy enough. The only thing I am unhappy about is that the rubber catches on the fence. I have to move the fences over to stop them from catching on the rubber. Haven't hooked up the shop vac yet.

Works amazing. Only criticism would be it gets in the way when cutting boards vertically, like for 5 inch base board mitres. That said, the improvement in dust collection otherwise is worth it!

I left another review but couldn’t find it to update it. This product very effectively improves the dust collection on my DWS780, but the effect is temporary until the flap and flap mounting screws fail. The device is 3D printed so you have to be very gentle with it. If you do any kind of compound cutting, you will lose portions of the flap. If any stress is put on the flap by the fence or a piece of material, the flap will pull loose from the screws.
Basically this thing works great until you break it, which will be pretty fast if you’re not VERY careful with it. I’m a carpenter, not a woodworker, so my work tends to be rough on tools. If this were a shop saw, this product would work better.
Ultimately, the thing works so well, I’m probably just gonna continue replacing parts as I break them. Just bear in mind you gotta baby this thing.

I attached the dust collector from Shop Nation. I used my Dewalt Miter Saw to cut Cedar Pickets. The dust was still more than iI thought it would be. I know from the video that it doesn’t collect all the dust. Still, I was hoping that it would be a little better. It is however better than the stock dust collector. Constructive criticism would be to make the tube wider. I measured it at approximately 1 1/2”. Maybe increase it by an inch to 2 1/2”. This might allow more suction into the intake.

When tightening one of the screws for the rubber extension I heard a cracking noise. No parts fell off, just a crack.
If I pull the saw out before plugging it down, the rubber piece gets caught on the board and goes up to block the vacuum port. I know this isn't the normal way to cut, but it is my preferred method for some things.

This is the 2nd one I bought, the 1st one broke while I was cutting 1" dowels and the saw blade kicked it up into the dust collector and broke it. This dust collection kit has been a 10 out of 10 for my small shop. The bonus is the left over parts I'm using for a dust collection on my Table Router,what a big difference that has been. A friend recommended this to me-and I’m so glad he did! This was straightforward to install and works great! It collects about 90-95% of dust and debris, which is way better than the stock tube/bag contraption. Added bonus: with the new setup I am able to get my Dewalt saw closer to the wall. This is a fair price point to have less dust/debris in my shop-go buy one today!
