Unit came well packaged with everything needed. Instructions not included but downloaded video and it was simple install so no big issue. Took about 10-15 minutes to install.
Construction is good quality and heavy gauge 3D printed plastic. Like that two adapter solutions were provided - bigger adapter (2.25") fits my shop vac directly so now all my equipment fits the same hose with no additional converters
This product is MUCH, MUCH better than DeWalt's default solution - picks up 80-90% of the dust vs. 10-20% with original dust collection system. Circular saws make a lot of dust/chips and sends them everywhere so this is a major upgrade and worth every penny.

I Love The Fact That The Yellow Version 9.6 Is 3" Wide Instead Of 2 7/16" Wide Was And I Took The Chute And Smoothed Down The Entrance Area That Was Ruff And I Contoured Several Other Areas And The Chute Works Great With My 550cfm Dust Collector!!

How about not skimping on the filament you use to print these. As you can see from the photo the area around the hole where it broke is not solid which leads to a weak point. Perhaps use stronger material as well. This has been the biggest waste of money as it has only been on my saw for less than a month and it’s already junk. I have tried to glue back together but as I said there is no solid material around the bolt holes which does not allow the glue any real place to bite onto. Also the rubber flap is a joke as on a sliding saw it gets cut the first time you use it and all the extra dust collection you gain goes out the window because the dust then shoots out the cuts in the rubber flap. Good idea poorly executed!

Poor design with the rubber flap. It got caught on the back rails as I moved the saw to the correct angle and just ripped right off. It did come with another flap, but I just removed the whole thing because it was obvious it was going to get caught whenever I did a sliding miter.

Professional residential stair installer, I'm giving it three stars because it broke on the first day. The design is better than the OEM for sure but the plastic housing broke from the blade guard on my DeWalt slamming into it. I have a habit of lifting the blade guard with my thumb out of the wayof my line of sight so that I can eye the blade. After the cut I let go of the blade guard and it slams down so it may be partially my fault as well but if the dust shoot was made out of metal or a less brittle plastic it probably would hold up and be a five-star review. I will probably purchase another one and just try to change my habit of letting it slam into it.

It was super easy to install. It does cut down on footprint size of the saw. It is well made. I gave three stars because I am not seeing the results that it promised. I don’t see a marked drop in dust collection compared to the factory model.

The installation was straight forward and simple. Ten minutes later it was installed. As I use my saw now I estimate that it an approximate 80% improvement in dust collection over the original equipment system.

I really like the dust collection, but am having difficulty with durability. This is the third unit I've purchased. The first two destroyed by off cuts thrown by the blade. It's nice you can now order individual parts, but everything but the hose has been destroyed on both my previous purchases. At this point the improved dust collection is still worth it, but it's a high price to pay repeatedly...

Part arrived in a timely manner.
Followed the instructions as noted (which are very clear and well done) and it went on the saw with no issues or having to fenagle the part to finish.
Put it to use right away. This thing is the best at dust control.
For those having an issue with the saw contacting the rubber boot. Not sure why. Used it at various angles with no issues.
All in all a great product.

Went in per instructions, I have used it with a Shop Vac, and it is a HUGE improvement over the factory dust chute and bag !
I used to hook my Shop Vac up to the original dust chute, and it still clogged.
I bought this , and have not had a single issue !

Works well with very little residual dust. The only negative is that the flexible flap piece does get a bit chewed up when making miter cuts as opposed to pure cross cuts. Otherwise a perfect solution.

A board tipped over and broke my first dust collector chute from Shop Nation. I thought I would be able to get along without it for a while then my wife came out into the garage and saw me cutting a board. "Just get another one already" was what she said as she saw how much sawdust was not being collected. I would also like to suggest to add the Zero Clearance Dust Collection Throat Plate from inspirewoodcraft.com for optimal dust collection. The combination of the two systems (Shop Nation and Inspire Woodcraft) make for an complete dust collection system.

Vast improvement over the factory dust collection. As others have noted, it does not get 100% but the reduction is substantial when paired with the recommended Inspire Woodworking zero clearance throat plate. I am mindful of the fact that these are 3d printed parts and should be installed with care. But once properly installed, if you are focused on accurate cuts and paying attention to your tools when woodworking I believe you will get good results and long life from this upgrade. Saved me days of designing, prototyping and refining of my own design. The dust in this picture is at the end of a full day in the shop cutting stock for a panel glue up.

This hose and chute collect the fine dust better than the DeWalt items. Some of the larger chunks get through the collection, however. All in all, it is worth the money.

This is a great addition to my DeWalt saw. This dust collection upgrade is far superior to the stock dust collection that came with the saw. The kit is easy to install. I just followed the installation video step by step and in less than 15 minutes I was up and running. I have installed and tested the new dust collection chute. So far very pleased. I had modified the original collapsing rubber chute that came on the saw so it worked fairly well but this is a huge upgrade. The Dewalt chute exited behind the saw then a vacuum hose attached which made it stick out substantially. This exits beside the saw which saves 6-10" behind it and works much better. Dust collection improved and the saw operation improved. Very pleased to date.

I just installed the Dewalt 779 dust collector fro Shop Nation. Installation took about 15 minutes. If you can operate the saw you can install the collecter.
After installing I cleaned the area and then I cut hard maple. I would say that the collector collected about 90% of the dust. I am more than happy with the purchase.

This is an amazing product that offers a unique solution to a common dust collection problem. The available videos gave a lot of confidence to try out the purchase. The online store was easy to use, the upstates from customer service were promt, and the product arrived in good time.
Provided videos made installation easy. And the results are fantastic. While the OEM dust collection captures maybe 20-30%, this brings it to a clear 75-85%. The most noticeable difference is the elimination of the big dust cloud that would form around the saw during cuts (a major safety hazzard for lungs).

Absolutely the best dust collection system for a mitre saw currently on the market today. Leaves and absolutely minor amount of dust compared to the factory supplied version on my Dewalt sliding compound mitre saw. Would recommend changing it out for this version, you will not be disappointed.

The design is good and the item worked well before it broke. The plastic used for the 3D printing is not suitable for the intend use. The shell is not solid and very fragile. Very disappointed that I paid so much for a fragile plastic piece.

It works as expected. One minor issue: I use a Harbor Freight small shop vac for the saw, and the hose from the shop vac connects, but it comes off under use. It's a very simple fix though: I used some electrical tape to keep the hose in place. I see no need for any design changes, etc., but wanted to let you know the solution in case someone else has this problem.
