the downloadable plans are detailed, gives some good ideas for garage projects. The dewalt dust collector is good. installs easy (except for one crappy located dewalt bolt for the blade guard). i use a full size rigid shop vac to suck up the dust, it does a good job keeping the mess to a minimum. if you have never used a shop vac for your various saws, it is totally worth it, especially for the price.

Before installing the dust-collection attachment for my DWS780, I had removed the stock "collector" and was just shooting all my dust into a hood, which was connected to a shop vac. I was hoping this attachment would be better than the hood, but in reality a lot of the particles now "bounce" off of the attachment and back at me. So while it does a decent job of sucking up most dust, a lot more dust than I was used to is bouncing back into my shop, which is not where I want it. I guess if you cannot do a dust hood, this is almost certainly better than the stock adapter (though not by much), but if you're trying to minimize dust in your shop, it seems to me that it might just be better to remove all dust collection at the blade and just let it shoot everything into a hood and vacuum things up from that.
Note: I hooked it up to my Makita VC4210L, so not a slouch by any means.

Haven’t put it to the test yet but looks like it’ll do good. Just makes it harder to change the blade on the saw but I’m sure with a little custom clearancing it’ll be good to go.

I just installed the kit last night and it was a GREAT improvement. I really wished had had taken a before and after video as folks would have been amazed.
On the bundle part (plans) that has been a huge waste of money so far! Don’t get me wrong they were sent digitally 2 times but I am unable to access them. I am sure it’s a “IO” problem…. Ignorant. operator. They are supposed to be getting back with me.

Once fitted the dust collector is awesome. The hose adapter is a little tight to the Rigid shop vac and pops off at times other than that it’s perfect.

I enjoy the channel content and have learned quite a bit from watching it, and so it was an easy choice to give the product a try. I hated the standard dust collection, because it was terrible, and I wanted to be able to work in my garage without having to roll my saw out to my driveway. Packaging was great, instructions were top notch and easy to follow along with (the video), and honestly the part quality was superb - much better than other 3D printed products I've purchased. It feels OEM. Bonus points for a high quality sticker that adheres to powder coated drawers.
Pros: easy install, quality build, works exactly like it says. Significantly increases dust collection (not perfect, but that's because of the nature of a miter saw). It also fits my quick connect adapter from Rockler for my vac hoses.
Cons: saw blade changing is a little more challenging; I needed to loosen a few additional screws and had to figure out the best way to do it. Not really an issue, just a learning curve.

Pretty easy install, definitely better than the stock approach to dust collection, miter saw still needs more to really collect the dust. Still, this modification is a step in the right direction.

All parts fit my DeWalt as described, with an easy installation. However, when the device was put to the test I didn’t see much of an improvement from the original dust collector. Maybe it has something to do with my vacuum’s suction…apparently the suction must be enough to overcome the small hole in the collection device. All I know is that I have just as much sawdust on the floor and on surrounding surfaces as I originally did.
