Frankly, the hardest part was cleaning up the dust that had accumulated before I installed this. It went on easy, save for my fumbling meat hooks. The install video was straightforward and easy to follow. So far it's an improvement that was well worth the purchase price.

Update from previous review. Worked great for the first three cuts, then the rubber flap split in the middle making it and the dust collection useless. They do provide an extra flap, but what do you do after that one splits? Wish they could improve this defect and supply a flap that wouldn't split.

Installation was easy and straight forward on my Hercules saw. It does not get 100% of dust, but, it gets a lot more than the stock setup and a zero insert may help collect even more dust. This will eliminate hours of sweeping and wiping in the shop. Only issue I have had was cutting a small piece to length and the cutoff was drawn into the rubber shoot and tore it. I would buy again and recommend the Hercules 12" Sliding Compound Miter Saw Dust Collection system from Shop Nation.

Just installed it, works great, already cut a 12 foot 2x4 into different lengths with what I would say was 90% less dust flying around. I would note that the locking mechanism for the hose attachment kept coming off, but a little tape solved that problem. I used the large adapter to connect the hose to a 2 and half inch hose, which is connected to my 2HP dust collector. Lastly installation was straight forward and the instructional video was right on.

I already bought this last year but I had a board kick real bad off the blade that i was using and it busted my first one. The collection of dust was better than the original Hercules so I wanted to replace it.

I have the Hercules miter saw. The fit was perfect. I second the advice of other folks; and that is to start the screws and then back them out before you install it. It makes installation a whole lot easier. And it does capture at least 95% or more of the Dust. Very happy and pleased with the fit and finish of the collector.

The commercial video shows the chute catching all the chips from the blade. It doesn’t! It does a better job than the original chute but not as good as advertised.

Dust collection is where even vacuum attached more expensive tools fail. This attachment has greatly improved that. I find that i can even use my 18v makita with this attachment on my mitre saw. It works so much better! Thank you!

If you are over 70 watch the video on a large screen. I watched on my iPhone SE and the pictures were small and I did not grasp the position of where things were as I was very new to the saw. When I watched on a large computer screen I saw everything I needed to know. It was then very easy to install and that was accomplished quickly. This works so much better than the stock dust system on the saw. It easily reduces 70% of the dust. I am glad I got it and will keep it on for shop use.

Nice kit, easy install on my blue harbor freight Hercules miter saw. One note, once you remove the 4 mount screws the old chute will easily pop out with a solid whack. No need to disassemble the slider.

The adaptors did not work for a normal size shop vac.!!!! I should not have to buy those adaptors to make your product work for a normal Home Depot shop vac. Other than that, good product over base design bought with the saw.

Second dust collection mount I’ve purchased from you, first for the Hercules. Overall a good product. Easy to install and your videos are great at explaining. First use, the rubber skirt got caught by the fence and tore. Secondly, I’m using a 9 gallon Craftsman vacuum with a dust cyclone separator and a 20 foot hose. I do not believe the suction from the vacuum is sufficient with that hose length so I will defer to how this product works after I buy a designated vac for my miter station and review the product then.

This setup works much better than the original. The original really didn’t work at all because the rubber attachment would collapse due to the suction from my shop vac. This one remains open and is also closer to the work piece for better dust collection. I haven’t used it much yet but it’s definitely a drastic improvement. I highly recommend this product.
