The dust collection chute went together as described and works fairly well overall, collecting approximately 70% of the dust directly. The biggest problem is routing and controlling the dust collection hose that you connect the device to. I use the Shop Nation kit along with a Rousseau 5000-L hood and an very pleased with the overall results.

I had kickback and the blade knocked into the assembly. The rubber also ripped. The screws spin in the holes, might want to consider putting metal inserts. I’m not sure it’s much better than what came with the Hercules Saw.

It fits on my machine good. The dust collection port is a small opening at the left side. If the area was sloped toward the opening, it would help. You must have a strong suction to get maybe half the dust. It may be better on a different machine. I have a grisly.

I have not yet attached this to my Hercules mitre saw, so I can’t really offer an opinion as to its functionality.
The science of it looks to be a vast improvement over the standard dust collection system. That is what drew my attention and ultimately swayed me to purchase. I have high hopes but have not yet deployed it.

I watched the installation video a couple of times then easily made the change. The collection chute appears to be good quality. I have a Rockler Dust Extractor running through a Vevor dust separator. The chute collected an overwhelming amount of the dust generated while cutting a 2x4.

Piece of wood broke off I was cutting and demolished the new dust collection system that I mounted on the saw so I ordered another part and will put on and if it breaks again I’m going to put back on my original equipment

Loved the fit and the easy of installing it. The color scheme was a perfect match. The performance has been on the marginal side to be honest. It is better than the stock dust collection shoot but so far not significantly better. I do not know if it is the result of the large blade or what, but it was not the home run I was hoping for.

Video of how to install the new dust collector was very well done. Installation was easy. Reduces the amount of sawdust that doesn’t get captured substantially. The sawdust that doesn’t get captured mostly falls near the saw making cleanup easy.

its seems to workwell as long as I am only using it as a chip saw. once I try to cut wood planks in Mita mood with the say blade on the slide it seems to lose its effectiveness. Also the rubber already is ripped with only cutting about 10 boards.

GREAT installation video specific to each model. Reasonable improvement in dust collection. Test cuts with various hose sizes and DC vs Vac showed shop vac and 2.25" hose to be best combination. But not a huge difference. Will continue to experiment. Removal for blade change a turnoff. Would recommend.

I was a bit skeptical of this 3D printed dust controls add-on but after reading the reviews I thought I’d take a chance. The price was awesome so why not? It arrived quickly and I took it to my shop and, using their video, began the install process. It couldn’t have been easier. Took maybe 10 minutes. It looks like OEM fit. The only minor issue is routing the exhaust hose. I did run it over the motor and zip tied it to the handle.
As far as functionality, here is my unscientific opinion. The stock Hercules dust control unaided is a 1/10 at best. Not only is it bad out of the box but it got worse as you use the saw. Adding my Hercules dust extractor helps and brings it up to a 5-/10. Installing the SN dust control setup with the dust extractor brings it up to an 8/10. Sure, there is some sawdust that gets past the collector but very little. I really do love it. Try it

The install was easy. The stock dust collation was about 65%. The new dust collation is about 90%. I know it will never be 100%. But you have to go slow to get the best collation. I have great suction on the port so that's not a problem. just go slow and it will do a good job.

This dust collection is much better than that of the OEM. However, it did not perform as well as I hoped. Although it appears to have cut my dust issues by more than half, I still have a lot of dust. I've seen similar solutions for the Dewalt saw with roughly the same results as I'm seeing for my Herculies. These other solutions increased the size of the rubber dam, which seemed to enhance the dust collection further.

This dust collector does not do a good job. It's better than the factory system, but that's not saying much. I got the same results from wrapping a piece of poster board around the outise of the factory dust collector.

It's actually a fairly easy installation, if you follow the step by step video. It most certainly collects more sawdust that the factory installed system but it isn't a panacea for dust collection. I'm not aware of any system that is, short of installing a shroud around your miter saw. I haven't done a trimming out project since installing it but I am impressed by the amount of sawdust collected in my test cuts and the few off cuts that I have made.

I installed the dust collector on my new Hercules miter saw this afternoon and so far, I am terribly disappointed. I didn't have any less dust than I did when I attached a semicircle piece of poster board to the OEM dust collector. This was not worth the money.

I purchased the dust collection system upgrade before I bought the saw, then when Harbor Freight ran the huge 30% Off all Hercules corded power tools sale earlier this year I purchased the saw for $249. I had been waiting for the stand to go on sale, and last week I was finally able to pick it up for $89, so today I did the the set up of the whole miter saw system and installed the dust collection prior to making my first cut; I absolutely love the whole setup!
