Ridgid & Delta Cruzer 12” Miter Saw Dust Collection
Optional Accessories:None - Standard Chute
Extra Flap?:Yes
Quantity:
Drastically improve the dust collection on your RIDGID 4251 or Delta Cruzer (12”) Miter Saw with this 3D Printed dust chute. It requires NO modification of the saw and bolts in the exact same spot as the stock dust chute. I've spent 30+ hours iterating on this design and testing performance.
Dust Chute Benefits:
- Massive improvement in dust collection with a standard shop vac (~100 CFM airflow)
- Can be used in mitered cuts without removal
- Allows clearance for all common lumber dimensions
- Keeps your shop clean!
This listing is for a 3D printed dust chute, pre-cut flap, and screws necessary for assembly. You can also opt for "the works" which also includes a 3D printed dust collection hose adapter (for standard 2-1/2" dust collection hose), and a wall hose guide. The chute will NOT come assembled but it is extremely easy to do with the provided hardware.
**UPDATE** - A small percentage of users are reporting that their vacuum setup will "collapse" the standard flap material onto the blade when turned on. If you've purchased a chute from me and this happens let me know and I'll send you a (free) new flap made from a thicker material. There is also now an option to opt for that material with your order.
There is a complete series on my YouTube channel (Shop Nation) detailing my journey for solving this dust collection problem.
There is a separate listing for the digital files if you would like to print/make your own!
