This works great! Be advised that the C12RSH model also needs to be modified. You will need to cut the casting as shown in the photo.

The product I ordered was not what I received. I was told I received the product that i ordered but I didn’t order the model I received. I have since returned that model and asked if you could exchange it for the correct model but was told that you don’t do exchanges but I would receive a refund. I have received that refund but now I have to pay full price for the model I need instead of the sale price which Is why I purchased the original one because it was on sale. I apologize for not being a happy customer and coming across rude. It’s not my intention. I’m a follower and a fan of ShopNation and appreciate the work and effort that goes into your business. Great product. Makes a big difference.

Shipping was not great. Took over 2 weeks to get because it got rerouted by usps. Quality product and well made the 3d print is spot on and fit perfectly. The clearance from my blade is within a couple millimeters and catches everything my dust collector can pull. Time to upgrade my dust collector so I can see its full potential.

Easy install, works fantastic!

I'm rebuilding my small shop and adding a bunch of new tools, one of which is the Metabo HPT 12" miter saw. Dust collection on this unit has been a bit of a journey. The Shop Nation chute is a simple upgrade that has made a big improvement to dust getting kicked out during a cut.

Easy straightforward install. Great improvement in the dust collection — before Shop Nation, this saw had the worst dust collection I’d ever worked with. However, the fences on this saw do not slide out horizontally, they swivel up and out. While the saw/ShopNation combo works great with the sliding head locked in the full back position, folks need a heads up that the fences must be swiveled out of the way to use the saw’s sliding function.

Came with a link to instructional video, which if your buying this product you will definitely recognize the YouTuber explaining how to install it. I didn't have to remove anything with a hack saw. Just a couple screws to remove the old dust. Chute. Q couple new screws to install this bad boy and it was done. Less than 5 minutes. I mostly do straight cuts and common miters and it has never got in the way. Huge improvement in dust collection. I would recommend this to anyone using a miter saw inside.

This does actually make a difference, I was hoping it would make more of a difference but any help with dust collection is welcome. There still will be plenty of dust around the saw but it does what it says and is easy to install, no complaints!

This works much better than the original or a temporary chute I made from a piece of rubber I had. It does make it a little more difficult to change the blade as it closes the gap between the blade. Installation was as easy as it gets. Will recommend my son get one for his saw.

I was unaware I would have to cut a part off my saw to install the dust collector when I purchased it. That info would have been nice to know before my purchase

This dust chute was as good as advertised if not better. The fit and finish were perfect for my saw. I am impressed with how it works and would gladly recommend it to anyone in my woodworking community.

**Beware** In order for this aftermarket dust collection part to be added to a Hitachi saw, you will need to cut off (permanently remove) a part from behind the blade. Their web site only stated this requirement for Model C12RSH2, but it is also true for Model C12RSH.

I'm running a Metabo miter saw in my new shop. The shop is nearing completion and I really needed to get this saw into position so I could work inside. I've been working outside on a Dewalt saw mounted on a portable stand. Anyway, getting the Metabo set up ment addressing dust collection. I ran all flex tubing for now and have my blower exhausting outside the shop. However, using a miter saw is a mess in spite of any dust collection if your running the factory setup. I ordered the dust collection port. Shipping was fast and the installation was easy. Having the Shop Nations port on my saw made a world of difference. Now, at least 95% of dust created by using my miter saw is being captured and pulled through my dust collection system. What a difference it made. I have a hood behind my saw and I plan on putting a curtain around it to keep the small amounts of dust passing my collection system to stay inside the hood so it can be cleaned up later. It just happens I have a Mini Split on the wall just above my miter saw. I don't want dust getting into the intake of my heater. Thanks Shop Nations for making this kit available. You've saved my shop as well as my health.

this is a game changer! I had other plans to include using a dust collector for this saw and the shop nation attachment handled 90-95% of duct collection when including a shopvac! So easy! Very satsified. By the way my miter saw is a Metabo 12 in miter saw. Very effective and installation was very simple

Worked great, super easy to install and provides a marked improvement over the stock one.

I'm in the middle of building a new shop. Building is finished and I'm building cabinets, drawers and doors. Dust collection is halfway complete. I just recently finished my miter saw station. I'm using a Metabo HTP 12 inch saw. Using it makes such a mess inside the shop that I switched to using my Dewalt 10 inch saw that's all a mobile base. I could move it outside eliminating the mess inside. That was OK until it turned winter here. So, a good alternetive was in order. I built a hood around my Metabo saw. That didn't help much. Having seen the adds for Shop Nations add-ons, I took the plunge. The add-on kit arrived a few days later and I installed it immediately. The install was easy. NOW, FINALLY, I could work inside the shop. A test run was in order. I needed a wall mount for my dust collection blower. Some 2 x 4's and a dozen cuts later and the results of the add-on is very obvious. To say I'm pleased is an understatement. The difference in the stock flap and the add-on flap is like night and day.. Having made a dozen cuts using the factory flap, I would have spent several minutes cleaning up. The same number of cuts using the add-on flap, left virtually no dust at all. I simply pulled the vacuum hose from the saw a spent 20 seconds or so cleaning the back side of the saw. I am amazed! If your working with a factory flap on your saw, do yourself a favor and get one of these kits. YES. I was also skeptical. Not now!

Works great on my old saw. Wish I could have owned it years ago.

Replacement Chute for my Hitachi miter saw clearly takes in more volume of dust collection than the original chute. Only drawback is having to remove the wings on my miter saw for clearance.

Fit perfectly on my older Hitachi C12LSH….probably 85-90% effective in collecting saw dust, but considerably better than what I had before.

Did not fit. I got the hole to line up, but then the shoot would catch the blade and wouldn't let turn. I tried a couple of time because I really wanted it to work, but didn't have any luck, so I returned it. Customer service was great. Easy to return.

Installation wasn't difficult although I did as per instructions have to hacksaw a piece off of my saw. Dust collection is not 100%, but did not expect that. Probably is a good 90% or so and much better than original.

Installation was a breeze. The dust is definitely reduced.

Seems to work a lot better than the factory chute . I did have to saw that spot off the saw that have . No biggie tho. Old saw no warranty left . I think its mostly just on there to keep the unthinking from trying to saw very small cutoffs and losing body parts .

This thing doesn't work any better than the stock chute as far as dust collection. Also, it is too long and binds up the saw from going fully to the bottom of the cut.

Does exactly as it was advertised. Makes a noticable difference in the amount of dust in rhe air, which is what I was looking for.

I had to saw a peice off saw to get blade to go all the way down . Doesnt affect the operation of saw tho. Its old and out of warranty any way .i hope for a great improvement of dust collection .

It does a pretty good job collecting 98 % of the saw dust.

It works exactly as claimed. It makes a significant difference in the amount of dust. It doesn’t get everything but it gets most of it. It works best when you’re moving the blade as opposed to just doing a chop cut. It was very easy to install, and I did not mind cutting out that piece at all as it really never did anything anyway. I’m very happy with it. It was a good purchase, a good price, and it works!

I've struggled with dust collection from the miter saw for decades. Your product has improved the situation drastically. It's not perfect but I would say it improved the problem by at least 85%. I am grateful for your product in my shop.

Easy installation on my Hitachi saw, fixing the thing I liked least about it, poor dust control.

I purchased the dust collection attachment for my Hitachi 12" Sliding Miter saw. I simply sawed off one irrelevant part and the dust collector fir snug and perfect. THe difference in dust collection is superior considering how much dust the saw produces. Very happy with my purchases. Freaking awesome. Captures 95% of dust. After installing, my saw went from blanketing half my shop to just leaving a a few chips in a 1 foot radius. I was going to build a dust box/hood type thing… but probably gonna skip this thing does such a great job.

The customer service was good but it doesn't fit my saw. My fault though.

I wasn't sure how much of a difference it would make, as it's just a larger, different shaped version of what the saw already had, but WOW this thing grabs almost everything! Easy installation, and a great upgrade!

It cuts down a ton of sawdust

Functional wise it is working great. It took me 30 to 60 minutes to make it fit. I had to trim and file 2 section. Please reach out to me, for the improvement suggestion. On the sliding Hitachi/Metabo sliding miter saw.

I never thought I would be able to contain the dust thrown from my hitachi sliding miter saw. With the factory chute and my dust collector attached it would catch 50% (maybe). After modifying the saw (cut off the arm at the base of the column as it shows in the installation video) and installing the Shop Nation dust chute I was proven wrong. This thing is awesome. I would rate this at the top of my “most bang for the buck” list. It doesn’t catch every particle, but 99.5% is OK in my book.

I’ve only used it a few times but it’s noticeably better than the OEM Shute.

Followed instructions with no issues, but after install Rubber lower portion blocked laser alignment, and old dust collector worked just as well.

It is awesome. After watching this thing throw a cloud of dust for 10 years i never thought it would be possible to capture 95+% of it. But this does. Like it mentions in the installation video, i had to cut off the piece that sticks out frim the base to the blade (not sure of its purpose) but it sas easy enough and wow, what a difference.

Super easy install. Quality fit. Works great on my saw. Don’t expect 100% trapping. Don’t think it’s possible in my experience, but HUGE improvement. Good investment. Buy one in my opinion and you won’t regret the purchase. Thanks guys.

Easy to install. Instructions were clear. I haven't modified my saw yet and it still works markedly better than the factory dust collection.

The product itself works great- definitely noticed a big improvement in dust collection. The hole for the red thumb screw didn’t quite match up with the saw so the screw is slightly askew. However it doesn’t affect the performance at all.

Worked great!! Used my miter saw yesterday and collected a 5 gallon bucket of dust with virtually NO dust escaping outside of the saw area. Very impressed!

I couldn’t be happier. This thing worked way better than I expected. Honestly i was skeptical and hesitant to spend 40 bucks on this little thing. I was wrong, it’s worth every penny. I have a dust collection system in my shop and before adding this the stock dust collector did ok at collecting dust, but I still had a lot of clean up at the end of each day. After installing this there is very little dust after my cuts. My shop has been so much cleaner at the end of the day. The install was very quick and easy. Took less than 10 minutes. It was straight forward and fit perfectly. I did not need to modify my saw so that made it quicker I’m sure.

I used to have a huge dust problem on my walls, and my vacuum didn't seem to make a difference. But after installing the Metabo 12" miter saw dust collection chute, I'm blown away by the results. Now, I might see a few stray dust specks near the saw, but my walls are spotless. The chute really delivers. I'm loving it!

I like it. Mine did crack but is still operational. Nice rubber piece and alloy thumbscrew. Looks like I would need to modify my Metabo to maximize its effectiveness.

I wish I could quantify the actual percentage gain of dust collection with this! It seems like a 1000% increase! Thank you for making the Hitachi/Metabo version! I have been waiting for it and it has made all the difference!

I was a bit skeptical when I first opened the package because the chute for the Hitachi saws is not a large or complicated piece. However, it improves dust collection dramatically. Directions and video made installation easy, even with the need to remove a part from the saw base to accommodate the new chute. The piece is sturdy and fits with close tolerances to boost the performance of your OEM chute to a level that will meet or exceed your expectations.

Product does not fit

Well made and real easy to install. Works great at diverting saw dust up into vacuum port.

The instructional video is very good and quite helpful. I did experience some difficulty in lining up the thumb screw and the mounting hole on the saw. The fit was very tight, meaning that hole for the thumb screw did not line up, about a millimeter off. I was able to get the thumb screw started, but had to use pliers to screw it into the hole. Love the way it takes care of the dust from the saw.

Works so so much better than the stock dust collection.
