Very easy install. It works quite well. I think if I upgrade my vac it would even be better. Definitely removes substantially more when cutting

Cut down my dust by 80 percent

This is my replacement for the first one I have had for awhile now. It works great until it cracks when you’re cutting something larger, then it seems a bit fragile.

Fit was perfect. Way better than the original. Highly recommend! If I had to guess it picks up about 95% more than the original one did. I just need a better vacuum system.

This is the second Shop Nation dust collector chute I have installed on my Ridgid Miter Saw Model R4222. The first one (version 5) worked pretty well until the flap got caught in the blade, so I ordered another one. They sent version 8.2. When I could not get it installed and I thought there may be a problem converting from version 5 to version 8.2, I messaged them and they assured me I received the correct part. I spent 4-5 hours attempting to get the new cute to fit and 4-5 messages with them telling me I receiving the correct part. Finally, someone else returned my email and said they sent the wrong part. I don't know if when they upgraded the versions, they took into effect of previous versions. I have received a new version 5, installed it and it works like the first one. In their installation video, they talk about how the version 8 is such an improvement over other versions, but I will never know.

Everything went on easily and looks good. The only issue was the 2.25" hose adaptor, which doesn't fit as shown in the video. If I heat it up to soften it, then it should slide in, and then I'll glue it to make it secure.

Wonderful tool, I'm surprised my miter saw manufacturer hasn't contacted you for licensing your product for their saw!

I just finished cutting 14-10 foot long 8/4 material into 28 inch long boards, the little saw dust you see is less than half of what it used to be with cutting one board. I purchased this with some reservations but I was sick and tired of all the dust, thank you it works better than advertised.

Delivery took longer than expected, but that's not a big deal. It is what it is. Everything was pocketed well, the QR code was simple enough to access and the install video easy to follow. Install went smoothly and I had no issues. The item collect far more dust than the stock dust shoot, and when I attached a vacuum, the amount of excess saw dust was negligible. That said, the product worked great until it failed. The hard plastic portion of the boot broke where it's connected to the rubber shoe while cutting a 4x4, effectively rendering the product useless. I'm not sure what happened, but the product went from collecting nearly all the saw dust to collecting no saw dust at all in one cut leading me to find the broken piece. This is the reason that I don't offer ratings or reviews on new products immediately after receiving them despite Shop Nation's insistence that I review the product right away, in exchange for a discount on my next purchase. Perhaps what happened to my order was a fluke and unlikely to happen. Thw problem is that it did happen and now I'm at 3-4 weeks of use, on an interior jobsite with no operational dust shoot and $60 in the hole on a Shop Nation product.

Installation went smoothly using the video instructions. Dust collection immediately improved. My only complaint was I could not use the zero clearance jig with the system. Shop Nation customer service sent me a video showing how to use a short wood piece to adapt. That worked well and I am very pleased with this system.

Excellent product. Captures almost all of the sawdust from hardwood and construction 2x material. Definity cuts down dust waist from particle board as well.

The dust Collection work great. I just wish it had a solid discharge mount with the same outlet as the original dust collection.

Works really well. Installed easily as I followed along with the installation video. When cutting I would estimate the new shoot captures 80-90% of the dust. After cutting multiple 2x4s the saw barely had any sawdust on it. Wish I would have purchased sooner.

have not used it yet but installation and fit both were excellent. If you need item fast pay for extra shipping. Took 2 weeks from order to delivery which seemed excessive and was not USPS fault.

I would love to give it 5 stars because it works very well when cutting face boards. However, when cutting 5" boards on edge, which is what I predominately do 100x in a day, it's a bit trickier to place a board against the fence without worrying about cutting the rubber guard.

Item fit the saw perfectly, but could use longer zip ties to restrain vac hose connection farther back from the equipment handle.

Unfortunately the dust shoot did not fit my. Saw. I was very disappointed. So must return.

It was amazing to me how much more saw dust was collected by the new Shop Nation dust chute versus the chute that came with my Rigid saw. I would agree with what I had seen mentioned by others that over 90% of the dust is collected with the new chute. In my case I'd say over 95%. A ton of dust was going all over the saw, vacuum hose, and a large portion of the garage floor and nearby stuff using the old OEM chute. It seemed like the OEM chute collected nothing even though I had it connected to my shop vac. It was annoying having to constantly sweep everything and keep from tracking the dust everywhere. Now there's hardly any dust and what little escapes the chute stays around the saw table. The new chute was easy to install and the installation video was well done. I only had a couple issues. One of the four screws that mounts the hub adapter to the saw could never be fully tightened. It's tightening resistance was constant from start to finish and never got snug like the other three but just kept turning. Its a threadless connection. The other issue was with how to secure the chute hose and the vacuum hose connected to it. A couple tie wraps were provided with the chute kit but there was nothing stationary near the chute hose that it could be secured to. I found that the vacuum hose could be secured to the end of the saw's guide rail which would also support the chute hose at the same time. However, the tie wraps would have to be cut off each time I wanted to use the vacuum for something else. I ended up using a small ball type bungee cord which is easily attached and removed. This is a complete total waste of money. The cheap plastic broke and now it’s completely worthless to me. I will make sure to get online and let everybody know that they should avoid this product at all costs.

Perfect fit, seems to be very well designed and install was easy, video really helped. Looking forward to using it once temperatures in my shop come above freezing.

Dramatically reduced amount of dust from my Ridgid 4222 mither saw. Super easy to install. Only knock is the vacuum hose needs to be stabilized along the sliding part of my saw.

Since this was installed on a sliding miter saw there are some issues with the hose for the dust collection when sliding the saw. In my set up the dust collection hose goes down, which causes it to interfere with the slide at times. Otherwise love it.

Installing with video was extremely helpful. I am curious if there is an attachment or a way to be able to use the OEM dust collection bag? Also, unless I'm doing something wrong, if you attach the hose to the handle of the saw the full travel range of the saw is restricted.

Drastically cuts down on dust. After going through pneumonia this product has been a serious life saver. I really really like the products that shop nation offers and it was so easy to install. Highly recommend . Keeps job sight so much cleaner and hooked up to my big 16 gallon Ridgid 6.5 HP. Vaccum with a bag and a heppa filter and diffuser.... thier is no dust or mess. Even works awesome with my Ridgid 5.0 HP vack with bag heppa filter and diffuser is just as good. I wish I got it a long time ago due to the stock one not being so great. It also has the two attachments to make it easy to switch vacuums depending on the job. Buy it your love it no matter what brand sliding dual bevell compound saw you have. Great job shop nation hands down.

The longest part of the installation was sitting thru the one ad I got before the install tutorial on YouTube. Superb product. While it doesn’t catch 100% of the sawdust, I can say that it does catch 90-95% of what comes off the saw.

I installed it. Doesn’t catch everything still got to clean up behind the saw. Still noticed saw dust. It’s okay but won’t buy again. Plus it took almost two weeks to get it

Quality material, easy install. I found the flex hose a problem, the length could be a few inches longer. The flex hose is stressed when cutting wide boards. When adjusted for wise boards and switch to narrow boards the flex hose bunches up in the unit and can't complete the cut safely. I added a longer hose from an old shop vac and it works just fine. Good dust collector.

What an improvement! Exceeded my expectations.

To be honest with all the hype on the internet I was expecting more, even though miter saws are not kind to dust collection. The thing that really disappointed me was the hose hanging loose from the rear of the saw. I guess I was supposed to zip tie it to something but it seemed too jankey. I ended up making a bracket out of aluminum flat bar that resembles the factory piece . Even though it still doesn’t work all that well at least it looks professional….. no zip ties !!!!

Although Ridgid stated that the 2 models were similar and that your model # was sImply my model #updated, the unit did not connect properly. I guess I'll need to make up a modified unit based off of your unit that will fit my saw.

This works pretty well.

The supplied hose is not long enough to anchor the end to the saw, so it doesn't flop around. Their only remedy was to sell me a 30" hose for $30, and I assume plus shipping, I don't know because I didn't take them up on their generous offer.

Just installed it , used it to cut mdf casing so far works fantastic, have to see how it works when cutting baseboard which stands taller when cutting

Order and delivery process was easy with clear communication. Installation video was very clear and helpful. As advertised, product captures “most” of the dust while cutting a 2x6 board.

Did not fit or work. No phone number to call,, no response from numerous emails. They should be ashamed.

Installation went fine. I personally would have like a set of written installation instructions, even if I had to go to a web site to download and print. Flexible hose that goes to the dust collection system could have been a couple of inches longer in my opinion.

Ordered and it broke in a few weeks of casual use. Got a new one and a board kicked up and the thing blew into pieces. So back to not having anything. Now to order a new one or come up with another option.

This adapter was perfect! It reduced dust off the chop saw by at least 80%. Wish I had got this years ago

Great product. Couldn’t find replacement bracket anywhere fir saw and this was a good substitute.

Works great for straight cuts …one board at a time. If you try to cut multiple the rubber gets stuck on the wood and the blade can actually hit it if not careful. Also you can not miter anything more than a 1x4 because again the rubber hits the lumber and can get caught in the blade. Straight cuts work great for 1x material. Think the design needs some revamping especially for miters

WOW, WOW & WOWZER! I built this ginormous shroud for my Ridgid miter CHOP saw & and the manufacturing exhaust still spewed sawdust everywhere, thankfully in the shroud that I built. But it still was a humongous pain in the butt! I attached The Shop Nation exhaust and it literally removes 98% of the sawdust. I no longer need this ginormous shroud and I couldn’t be more pleased! I wish I had done this way sooner! I realized that I was doing things that could’ve been done on the chopsaw on my table saw because it has a much stronger exhaust for sawdust. I am now back on my chopsaw regularly and it makes life so much easier in my workshop! If you’re on the fence about buying this… Jump off and buy this exhaust from Shop Nation, you will not regret it!

Best dust collection ever

Installation was simple and straight forward following the video. However, the hose adapters do not fit my Hercules dust extractor or my rigid shop vac that as the smaller hose. Shop Nation didn’t have any ideas on a 3d print to make it fit. Disappointing.

I would give it one more star bur I am working on a bathroom remodel that I don't need my saw so I have not installed it yet. It does seem very well made.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my son-in-law. Therefore it has not been used yet but he did check it out and is looking forward to using it.

The product works very well, collecting a majority of the sawdust the saw produces. The installation video was spot on and left no questions as how to install the collection system. My only suggestion would be to make the hose a bit longer as I am pulling on it a bit when cutting wider boards. For me, a definite 5 out of 5 stars.
