I just needed to replace the “u” shaped collar. You really do need to remove it to make a 45 degree bevel cut. Looks and works exactly like the original.

I repositioned the 2 and 1/2 inch dust collector fitting that connects to my Shop Nation 2nd gen dust chute. After completing the repositioning, I realized that the standard dust hose was suited for 90 degree cuts, but once I needed a 45 degree cut, the hose was stressed too much and came off the coupling. I ordered the 30" inch hose, and after receiving it, I cut about 6 " off of it and now I get better cfm and better dust collection. Good Hose.

I accidentally destroyed my hub adapter and ordered a new hub adapter and chute body just in case.
The items arrived quickly ( 3-4 days) and I was back running again.
The system works great and reduces saw-dust 80%.

Love these dust collecting upgrades for the. Hop saw. Only downside is when a small wood chuck catches it will break. Have replaced two in the last two years but it is still the best solution out there. Company offers customer the ability to replace the broken part at reasonable cost. Highly recommend company and product.

I installed this dust-collection upgrade on my miter saw in my upholstery and furniture shop, and the difference is immediate.
Before, I always had a lot of dust around the saw.
Now the dust is captured much better and my work area stays noticeably cleaner.
The setup was easy, the fit is solid, and it connects perfectly to my shop vacuum system.

I PURCHASED THESE AS EXTRAS. MY HANDS AND FINGERS ARE NOT AS NIMBLE AS THEY ONCE WERE. WHEN I NEED TO CHANGE A WORN RUBBER FLAP WITH A NEW ONE, AND DROP A SCREW, AND WATCH IT ROLL UNDER A CABINET, I GRAB ONE OF THE EXTRA SCREWS. AT SOME POINT, I WILL SWEEP IT UP OR VACUUM IT UP.

The dust collector for my Bosch saw is next level. Get it!
Unfortunately, I had a kickback that threw a large piece of 2x4 back at the collector and broke the attachment to the saw rendering the collector unusable. Gratefully, parts are available (and at a very fair price), and these were sent promptly once the order was placed.
I couldn't be happier with my experience.

I had to replace the chute body because I broke some of the slot that houses the rubber flap. About a year ago, I added a wooden fence to my Bosch 12inch axial glide miter saw so I could close it up to create a zero clearance when cutting off a small piece, like a return, preventing it from being shot back by the blade and being sucked into the chute.
When I closed in the fence, to create the zero clearance, the dust chute usually contacted the wooden fence, preventing a full cut on the piece of wood I was cutting.
I got used to making adjustments to the fence when necessary, but occasionally would forget or not make enough of an adjustment. If the chute did not make contact with the piece of wood, the flap wood. So, over time, a crack(s) developed in the back of the chute. This ultimately caused the lose of three of the screw holes. I did not think twice about purchasing a replacement.
Adding this dust shoot to my miter saw was a game changer! I would rather not be without it.

It went great, and I figured out how I broke the first on. “BUT” I’m using a Bosch dust collector which ratted right rated CFPM right along with Festool and collection is still not all that great. I think the collector ( that rubber collar ) needs to be wider and reach lower to be more effective. I’ll sent photos of the saw dust spread.

It was simple enough. The included link to video instructions is a great idea. Wish everyone did that. I struggled a bit with attaching the hose to the bendy arms ( scientific term) of the mitre saw. Clipping onto the pwr cord just pulls the cord off the arms. Used 2 long tie wraps and wrapped around the arm. I like the design of everything else, though. I’ve only used the saw once since installing so I can’t verify how much sawdust it grabs, looks like it should grab most. And no tariffs! Thanks

I’m having trouble where the Ruber flap goes into the groove that the plastic is breaking and blowing out there. Getting ready to order my second replacement for the year as it’s broken in this area again. I’m not sure if it’s because I cut a lot of 1 3/4”+ thick stock is the issue or what.

This is a great product and a great company. Their shipping is fast and items are reasonably priced. I will tell you go ahead and buy at least one extra of each 3d printed piece, they are no match for kickbacks. My skills are probably average but I sometimes rush and if your mitre saw blade throws some wood over the fence or through the center opening, there’s a good chance it’ll break. Good news is replacement parts are cheap. Bad news is if you don’t have an extra available and you have a job to finish you will not go back to factory settings (trust me) and you will need to keep the shop vac on standby.

If i could give this zero stars I would. I installed it a year ago, it worked ok in conjunction with my Festool Midi, still dust all over, but, better. I was mocking up a wood box out of cardboard for my Bosch Axial Glide and noticed the chute part had a large blowout, see pic. I reached out to support and was told they would sell me a new part, but since I bought it just over a year ago there was nothing they could do for me. I am amazed that an item you sell, installed and used correctly, shattered in use, and even more amazed that you do not stand behind your product. Online there are numerous reports of the plastic parts breaking in use, but Shop Nation does not seem to care, they'll just keep selling you replacement parts. Terrible company, terrible service, stay away.

The online photo is a little misleading. The only thing that showed up was the 3 rubber flaps. However, that's all I needed. I still had the screws and the other parts shown in the photo are not needed unless you replacing the next section. I probably should have also replaced that because there was some damage but it still works. Too bad shipping is more than the cost of the part.

This is round two for Shop Nation dust collection on my miter saw. I have not had time to install it yet, but the design looks like an improvement on round one. I was happy with what I had but blew it up. I’m not entirely sure what happened exactly. I think a small piece broke off the work I was cutting. All I know is there’s a big hole in the back of it now and there’s blue plastic all over my shop. Whoops!
I will certainly provide you feedback when I get the new version installed.
