the piece is well made and works great for me, i have a rigid shopvac and purchased the 2.5 adaptor and would like to sugest that large side could be about an Inch longer and have a rim lip so that the hose latch catches and does not slip off,

I wasn't going to review this, but since you insisted here it is: I'm iritated that I have to keep buying these inserts. They work fine when cutting material up to 1", but they snag and shred when cutting thicker material. Since the installation of the tube cannot be easily reversed, you're pretty much stuck with the situation. The dust collection kit should come with a lifetime supply of these replacement pads.

Destroyed my last dust chute. Admittedly, a user induced explosion of parts. I attempted to cut a 3 3”x3”. Very bad decision on my part; As I brought the plane in contact with the material, the blade ripped the 3”x3” from my finger tips, launching the piece into near earth orbit, taking parts of the dust chute with it. I’m willing to bet most of the “dust chute explosions” are induced in similar fashion…

Needed more, as this is essentially an expendable item when cutting thick materials.

I set everything up and proceeded to shoot a small offcut into the pickup which destroyed it. 100 percent my fault. Ordered a replacement and am happy I did. My dewalt 718 had zero dust collection before, but leaves very little now. I will always have one on my saws.

The parts arrived undamaged. Everything fit fine. I would use them again.

Worked like a charm once I got it installed! Dewalt makes a great sliding miter saw but the dust collection is essentially non-existent. No longer! It was a bit tricky to attach the dust chute while the blade was still installed (my decision alone, it was NOT part of the instructions), and I had to buy a set of Torx of screwdrivers because I didn't have a bit driver long enough to get up inside the screw channels, but again, that's a Dewalt saw (T-20 AND T30 Torx screws mixed with Phillips screw elsewhere on the saw, really?!?), so oh well. Who doesn't like an excuse to buy a new set of tools? Great product that is going to greatly improve my quality of life during future woodworking sessions. Highly recommended!

I bought a couple of extra shrouds for my Dewalt 780 miter saw dust collection system. Very thick material that will last a while. Great improvement over the OEM system.

My shattered after a cutoff went wild. This was easy to order, arrived ahead of schedule and fit like a glove.

Have not completed installation as I need another pair of hands to hold everything to install the two difficult screws.

Love the product but I just wish the groove was deeper to hold the rubber skirt as the screws barely can hold the rubber in place! I’d give it 5 Stars if not for this issue.

Love the product, love to company, i wish the groove in the dewalt model was a little bit deeper for the rubber to seat in. Ive not had great luck with durability.

The Shop Nation dust hood on my Dewalt compound sliding miter saw has made a huge difference when it comes to cleanup time. I sometimes dreaded having to use the saw because cleaning up the mess would take much more time than I cared to take, especially after a long day in the shop. It's a real time saver, and I'm so glad I bought one for my saw.

As a mechanical engineer, I can appreciate the iterative design process and enjoyed the video you posted about how you arrived at the final design. Including the various failures along the way showed that things aren’t as easy as they seem. Performance-wise, the difference between your design and the original is night and day. I did have to replace the rubber flap fairly quickly as I learned about interferences. At one point it bound up the saw and scared the hell out of me. I used a slightly stiffer gasket material that I had lying around and found it more robust. Keep up the great work and keep that printer farm rolling!

I put it on as soon as it came in and tried it out, it worked great but I tried to buy a 45 degree bevel and slung a piece of scrap back and broke it first thing, but, i ordered another one installed it and love it

Had to order replacement rubber sheets, came quick.

Having a set of backup flexible flaps for the DeWalt DWS779/780 Sliding Miter Saw Dust Collection system is important to me as my saw is used be multiple people and I cannot guarantee the care taken by all users.

A vast improvement over version 1! Love it.

The jury is still out on this item. Installation was a piece of cake, but it doesn’t catch as much sawdust as I had hoped.

Parts are just what I needed.

I bought the 2 1/2 inch hose adapter so I could connect the Shop Nation dust collector for my Dewalt miter saw to the dust collector for the whole shop. It’s a nice tight fit and worked well.

Screws didnt come with the flexible flaps

It broke when I mounted the rubber shield. The hole was too close to the edge

I thought replacement part would have came with the black flap and attachment screws as well as mounting screws

Shipping is too high Item is too thin. Gets sucked up in Shute vacuum is connected

The rubber part is too thin and sometimes folds in and blocks suction.

I don't like how the flaps secure to the body, and how they get chewed up so easily. However while intact it helps. I integrated the Inspire body added suction and the two do not work well together. But as a stand alone product this eliminates much saw dust just not most.

It was fairly simple to put on and does a much better job than the factory system - hands down! It still misses some of the dust, but not much! Good job on the fit and the mu h improved dust collection.

I’m on my fifth one i keep forgetting to use my small parts jig for my miter saw when I’m cutting a small piece

Everything installed perfect onto my brand new DWS779 have not got a chance to use yet to cold up here in Vermont , part of my shop is outside and its not setup for heat(waiting for spring to start building) First project is the drill press table
