The new chute is working way better than the existing chute that came with my miter saw! I have noticed an increased amount of dust being collected than before, great product! Definitely as advertised. I did remove the chute when I added a sacrificial fence for one project and replaced the new chute afterwards, very easy to assemble and disassemble.

The dust control with this is amazing. I thought it would cut it down on the dust a little but after cross cutting about 20 2x4’s the only sawdust I had was on the top of my miter station, and that was only a little bit. Very pleased with purchase.
FYI, double check your parts when shipping, I was shorted a thumb screw but I have a few laying around and was able to fix, no big deal.

The rubber fence damages/cracks easily from normal straight cuts when making long miter cuts from either direction. I also don’t feel like it has made any visible difference from
When using the stock dust collector. The only time I notice improved dust collection is when I make a straight vertical cut. If I slide the saw towards or away from me, the rubber guard drags against the wood and gets damaged.

The Skil dust collection was certainly lacking, changing to the Shop Nation dust collection system is a significant improvement. I certainly would recommend it to other Skil Miter Saw owners.

One of the crucial mounting brackets broke as soon as I tried to install it. The design of the piece has a very thin piece of plastic carrying a much greater a load than it can successfully handle so i wasn't surprised it happened. When I was finally able to get through to the support people from Shop Nation they were very apologetic and sent me the wrong replacement piece. Thinking I would just let them know I sent a reply to our initial email conversation and a week later I still have not heard back.
In the meantime, I went ahead and fashioned a support piece using a wood dowel and successfully mounted the collector. It works great!!
If not for the lack of actual support for their poorly designed piece I would have happily given this product a 5 star rating!!

Perfectly easy to install, and a big improvement over stock. It may not be obvious from the pictures, but this design has a "sleeve" around the blade which concentrates the suction at the edge of the blade where it's needed. Best design I've seen.

Fits the saw very well. Installation was easy. The finish and durability from impact are the only concern. The finish looks like it was made with a 3D printer. Now, that could just be the way the mold is made. However, when I went to install it, I accidentally drop the collector on the floor and a small section of the collector where the rubber shroud fits into the plastic broke.
I shared with the company and even though this was my fault, they are sending a replacement free of charge. However it has been three weeks.

I didn’t use it at all due to the fact that it needs to get disassembled when cutting 45 degree angles. If I can’t fully use the machine with the new attachment it becomes an obstacle having to assemble and disassemble all the time.

I love it. It made a huge difference. The dust collection on my skil miter saw was absolutely horrible and I tried everything to help cut down on dust and nothing worked, I have to admit I was skeptical or atleast thought it might help a little bit but wouldn't be as good as it looks on YouTube but this thing actually works great it really does work as good as they make it seem.

All things being equal, the directions were first rate. It went on Great, fit Great, looks Great... But, I really thought that this was going to catch way more dust than it did. I sawed several feet of 1 x 12 green, (wet) rough cut hemlock. I was using my Ridgid Vacuum with an Oneida Dust Collector, and I had nearly as much dust, as I did, with kiln dried 1 x 12's..! I didn't expect it to get every bit of dust, maybe 75%, but I really didn't see much difference between this, and the OEM dust collector.

When cutting wider boards (2x10s and such) it actually creates more dust than the stock one. For 45 bevels, taking off the wings is annoying and removing the guide entirely is almost a non starter. I feel like I’m a beta tester but yet paid full price

I waited a while until the Skil model was available. I’m glad I watched the install video, as it was quite helpful. Best thing I’ve ever had for my miter saw. Tried everything else, but this product delivers. Worth the cost.

Followed the instructional video and had no problem with the install. When I spun the blade, it was rubbing the housing slightly. I had to take a small piece of wood, (a shim) and put it between the plastic housing and the metal housing of the saw, moving the plastic piece slightly to the left, which stopped the saw blade touching the plastic housing. Not sure how long the duct taped "shim" will last, but now I know how to stop the blade rub. Other than that, I'm very happy with the dust removal property of the item.
