Installation
Bolt it on. Get back to cutting.
Since there isn't a stock chute to remove the process is extremely simple. Drill a hole, slide in the new chute, and connector your hose. Prefer to watch? The full walkthrough is right below.

Drill 1 hole
Use the supplied drill jig and drill bit to drill one hole in the side of the blade housing.

Mount the new chute
Slide in the new chute behind the blade and secure with a single thumb screw.

Connect your shop vac or dust collector hose and make your first clean cut.

Questions, answered
Which saws does it fit?
It's made specifically for the Kobalt Compact Sliding Miter Saw. Pick your model in the selector above to get the right fit.
Do I need a vacuum or dust collector?
Yes. The chute steers debris into your hose, so you'll need a shop vac or dust collector connected to it to get the full benefit. We do not recommend a high CFM dust collector, but rather a high static pressure shop vac or dust extractor.
How hard is it to install?
It's very easy. Once a single 5mm hole is drilled in the side of the metal housing the new dust chute slides right in place and installs in about 5 seconds.
Can I go back to the factory chute?
Yes, simply remove the upgraded one with one thumb screw and you're back to stock. There is one small hole drilled in the side but it will not affect how the saw functions in any way.
How much of a difference does it really make?
A big one. The chute closes the gap where factory chutes let the most debris escape, so far more chips end up in your vac instead of on the floor, the fence and in the air. Customers report on average a 75%+ improvement.
How do I get the build plans?
The plans are digital PDFs, delivered by email immediately after purchase, so you can start planning your next build while the chute ships. If the email doesn't show up within a few minutes, check your spam or promotions folder.
What happens if I return the chute?
The physical chute is covered by our 30-day satisfaction guarantee. A fixed $40 of the bundle price is allocated to the digital build plans, and once they're delivered that $40 is nonrefundable for change-of-mind or dissatisfaction returns, including on discounted or sale purchases.
If you return the chute, your product refund is the bundle price you actually paid after discounts, minus $40, plus applicable refundable tax. Return shipping and original shipping refunds are handled under our Returns & Refunds Policy. Full details are in Section 8 of our Terms of Service.
