My only suggestion is to make an adapter that come directly off the chute to a larger shop vac hose. But this is in no way a criticism of this product.

I had a narrow plywood box around my chopsaw without dust collection. All it did was funnel dust into my face. With the kit supplied connector I was able to attach a 2 inch (hose ) oneida dust collection and a Sears Craftsman 6 hp 9 gallon by friction fit.
I cut a round hole in my bench to fit the plastic bucket that is under the cyclone. Very convenient and will be breeze to empty. Also I have a removable chopsaw fence from Fastcap. The picture included shows it removed and stowed against the wall.

The dust collection aid really does help, and it was simple to install. The rubber (or whatever material it is) collar strips do have a strong material smell that I would best describe as "stale cigars", but it's not problematic after an hour or so of being exposed to the air and I don't mention that as a negative, just as something to be aware of. The best part about the entire purchase experience--maybe even above and beyond the product itself--was the clear, very concise video explaining the installation process. Every manufacturer should take lessons from Travis on that; it's quick, easy to access, and straightforward. Kudos and thank you!

An excellent addition to my mitre saw! In the few cuts I've made so far, I have noticed a reduction in dust landing behind the saw. It's made of some quality materials, too.
The set-up video was easy to follow and smoothly walked me through the installation. I recommend removing the saw blade before installation, but then I have huge hands.

Took a while to get & there was a mis shipment but responded back right away & was due to waiting on their supplier BUT..... installed on my bench direct to my shop vac AND seriously I would give more stars if able. I cut 10 pieces of 2X4 to test & there was not any dust or debris. Exactly what I needed & hoped for. You will not be disappointed. Attached a couple pictures but unfortunately I don't have video. The install was quite easy. The replacement fit right in, except on the right hand side, I was not able to thread the bolt to hold the piece in place. So I removed it and made the hole just a little bit bigger in order to get it to fit properly. Overall I am very please with the design and its ability to catch more saw dust than the original component. I would definitely recommend this upgrade.

Very easy to install. It works way better than I anticipated. My experience is that it collects about 90% of the dust. The dust that was sneaking out the sides is all but eliminated. I highly recommend this product.

The DW715 is a great tool but makes a terrible mess. Withe the addition of the new dust chute the dust is reduced by 75–80%. I also added a zero clearance base plate that has helped. Now if you can create something that captures the dust from my drill press I’ll be in heaven.

Packaging was well done. Very professional. Printed parts were off high quality -- stout with good fit-and-finish. Despite all this I did not have a lot of success with it. I started off with a 4" line reduced down to 2½ and collected about 40% of dust. I then went to a small dedicated shop vac (1¼ line) and at best caught only 50% of dust. While I didn't see a blockage, dust got pushed out to the right in both cases. Odd, especially since dust tends to spray backwards without it.
Otherwise, communication with Travis was pleasant and was very accommodating. I have him a suggestion for a design style. Maybe one day we'll see it employed.

I absolutely love it. The increase in dust collection is fantastic. The only negative thing I have to say about it is that the frame came slightly out of square which caused my blade to take a small chunk out of it when I first turned it on.

I love the way the system works on my DWS 716 dewalt miter saw. As you explained in an email to me the installation video has an error. Where the video says that you need the more compact system to fit a DWS model, this is in error for my DWS saw. The longer snout system fits my DWS saw. The screw holes defined in your video to be used for the DWS model is also incorrect for my saw. Instead of using the two holes to the right per the video I had to use the bottom hole and the lower right hole to fit my DWS saw.
Once I got this straightened out and the whole thing set up fine. it works great with my vacuum system. I’m very pleased.

As said it certainly won't get all the sawdust but It does a very credible job over the included dust collection that comes standard with the saw. It is impressively well made and should hold up over time. I have to say the instructions to put in the unit were probably the most understandable precise and well written directions that I have ever seen. If you have the DW 715 or 716 model saw you can't go wrong ordering this from Shop Nation.

Only drawback is the dust bag not fitting on your adapter. Should be the same O.D. as the original adapter. I will be using a vac the majority of the time and the bag occasionally.

Works great when making crosscuts and 45s when the saw is swiveled to the right. Not so good at making 45 degree cut when saw is swiveled to the left. The shroud catches on the saw sending dust everywhere. If I start the saw lower I can push the shroud into place and eliminate this issue.

I had high hopes going into the purchase of the unit as I have seen a few of the videos on the design and testing process. Despite my high expectations, I was genuinely shocked at how well this worked on my saw. I have had this saw for 15-ish years and always accepted the fact that it made a huge mess, opting to use it as sparingly as possible to cut down on clean up time. With this quick addition, I have added the saw back into the normal rotation in the shop and will be building a dedicated station for it shortly. If you have a similar thought/reservation about your saw, this is a quick and inexpensive way to extract a lot of utility from a tool that you (like me) had relegated to occasional construction duty.

The dust chute fit perfectly on my DeWalt DW715. Instructions were spot on! I'm completely blown away at how much better my dust collection is on my miter saw. I would honestly say that with the Shop Nation dust chute installed, my dust collection is about 95% or better.

The dust collection is so much better than I could have expected. It has changed my miter saw station for the better. I was a little disappointed that the chute frame did arive a little bit out of square which caused it to be hit by the blade but not enough to hinder its function. Just something to be aware of in case the issue can be fixed. Overall I'm very pleased with the performance.

Dust collection on my Dewalt 715 is significantly improved. Item was delivered on time, works as advertised, and with excellent instructions. I was very happy also to see a tight fit with my Festool dust extractor hose.
The Shop Nation decal is the *only* decal in my shop. But I'm still trying to just get to Shop Adequacy; Shop Greatness remains a long way off for me.

This item works as it should. I spent the weekend cross-cutting, and it took care of 99% of all generated dust. The shute installed perfectly fit perfectly. Instructions were easy to follow. This is a great product and will be happy to purchase again.

This was easy to install (and great video for it as well). Didn't have any projects to work on, but made a total of 5 test cuts and there was definitely less dust than just one cut without it (so likely a 90+ percent reduction of dust!).
Watching all that dust go straight up and into this chute is awesome, and I'll be able to use my chop saw in the garage now (instead of taking it outside).

Quality is great and assembly was very straight forward. Execution wasn't what I hoped for, but the kit included a spare rubber chute. I taped the spare chute to the first to give the chute more depth and that helped. Still seeing saw dust behind the saw, but it's better collection than without the whole system. Nothing will be 100% with a miter saw.

Travis went above and beyond. I intended to order the dust collector for a Dewalt DWS715. Evidently I picked the incorrect one, and forgot the "S". Totally my fault and error.
Sent the incorrect one back and received the one I should have ordered to begin with in a couple of days.
The dust collector works a 100 time better than the original and the customer service can't be beat.

Could use a longer rubber catch skirt that we will make. Let’s some wood dust fly by when cutting 4x4 and bigger wood . Was surprised you did not make it longer as it dose not interfere with cutting or when fully pushed down at end of cut cycle . 3 other people at our work see this as a flaw in the final design.

Really a game changer for the DeWalt 715 miter saw. Easy to install and I'm guessing it collects 90* of the dust. Lots of folks using this design but I think Shop Nation is the best. When you are trying to miter 45* or more, you need to go slow in your set up as the rubber hits the fence, and could possibly contact the blade. Price is right and fast shipping. Good job Shop Nation.

Great fix for my saw! I did add a piece of tape as seen in the photo to restrict dust coming out of the sides. Was able to remove a shroud that I had to contain the dust. I added a picture to show the small amount of dust after this upgrade including the added tape.

It was easy to install and the majority of the dust is about 85% gone. As the installation video says, this dust collection system works very good but is not 100% perfect. Nothing is.
I would definitely purchase this system again if needed.

This is by far the best thing that I could have done to my dewalt dw715. It was worth the wait. This dust chute collects around 98% of the dust from the saw. Excellent product. I would highly recommend.

This shroud really works. There must be at least 80-90% less wood chips/sawdust around the sides and back of saw where they usually would congregate. This is a buy recommendation

Nice product, but did not fit my DW705
Nice looking product. I took the risk and ordered the DW715 with hopes that it would fit my older DW705 as suggested on the ordering page. It did not work out of the box. I attempted some mods to the screw-on adaptor base, but unfortunately it did not work. I do think it would have been a great improvement had it fit. Hopefully, a true DW705 version will show up on here future and I can reorder.
