I was skeptical at first and thought about getting one for months. Finally ordered a dust chute for a Dewalt 715. Installation was a breeze. I wanted to give it a fair chance so I removed my custom fence and put on the factory one. Amazing—it caught probably 80% of the saw dust. I put my custom fence back on and it still collects maybe 75%. Highly recommend it.

Installation was easy. Attached to a 5HP wet/dry vac with a brand new filter. It traps a lot but there still is a fair amount that goes right past the collector. I am building a box behind the collector to try to catch that as well.

This grabs most of the dust and is very compact. Installation was easy and well documented in the video. I found that getting the 2.5" hose as close to the saw as possible helped improve suction quite a bit.

had to grind part of my saw fence away to cut full miters. The system is a little clunky, but I think it will improve the dust collection.

I bought these for the Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Austin, TX Chapter's Miter Saws. We share space in a warehouse with a company that builds solar panels and we needed to keep down the saw dust. I have this system on my personal miter saw and knew how effective they are. They have reduced the amount of saw dust by at least 85 to 90 percent.

Got here quickly; followed the video instructions and had no problem installing it. Haven't had a need to test it yet, but it sits right on the saw base when the blade is down, so it appears that it will get most if not all the dust

The attachment I had to collect dust from the Dewalt DW715 was working. I still had dust on both sides of the saw blade . After installing the saw dust collection attachment from Shop Nation I reduced what was collected by at least 90%. I am extremely pleased with this purchase.

Installation was a snap. The video was accurate and easy to follow and the installed chute fits well. The initial tests have shown that the dust pickup is good. Not perfect but seriously better than the original saw setup.

I did have to modify the part to make it work with my DW715.
The dust chute had a number of 715T on it. I don't know if that was the problem, but the dust port did not line up with the casting on my saw. I cut the part at an angle and rotated it until I got the port to line up with the casting. Some superglue and a couple wood splints made it strong enough and it works fine now.

When set to left hand 45 degree miter, flexible chute hits the right hand backstop and saw blade will tear chute. Only solution I can see is to flip the piece being cut and miter from right side. Otherwise it does as advertised and improves dust collection.

does its job much better than factory dust collection. The only issue is when cutting a miter to the left, the rubber interferes with the rail and the rubber is pushed into the blade. But, I guess that's why 2 rubber shrouds are sent.
