Do I need a vacuum or dust collector?

Easy to install. Works beautifully and definitely collects about 99% of the sawdust i create. Only thing I wish was improved was the hose mounting. Regardless, 1000% recommend replacing thus on Ryobi miter saws.
Have been waiting for the RYOBI dust collector to come out for quite some time. Ordered it in and installed it and absolutely love how it has reduced the dust in my shop. Simple instructions to install took just took a few minutes to have it ready to go.Would recommend this product to anybody who would be thinking about buying it.
The dust collector was easy to install and collect most of the sawdust generated by the saw.
Install was very easy . There is a video to walk you through it step by step. And to be honest, its a game changer for me using this saw indoors. The dust collection on this is night and day difference. I broke the original one that came on the saw so timing was perfect. Should have done this when I first bought this saw . Make this your very next purchase when getting a miter saw. You will not regret it and shop nation makes many different types for the saw you choose. Haven’t had the chance to test it out yet. But thought you should know it also fits the 10” 18v saw, perfectly.
Works like a charm
Instead of a healthy layer of dust I now have a light dusting around my Ryobi saw. That's OK because it was my expectation. One complaint: The 5 inch hose should be 18-20 inches so it can be tied to the end of the bars and won't interfere with the drawing of the saw. Please see my photo.
Compared to the stock collector....its night and day. I've only used it for a handful of cuts so far but I'm very impressed. Install was very straight forward too. Only real downside is the price from Canada, cost nearly half as much as the saw itself! But honestly worth it as an upgrade, dust collection has been my only real issue with this saw until now. If only my two table saws could collect dust like this...that's my next struggle I guess!
Works a lot better than the original dust shield. I added a clamp and bracket to hold to back of the saw. Works like a champ with keeping the dust down and straight into the shop vacuum

Absolutely loved it!, actually working on editing an install video for the Ryobi 12”. Decreased dust around my saw by 75%!. But then I walked out there yesterday and found this. The unit was hanging down only suspended by the hose! I don’t know when or how this happened. Very disappointed.
This chute is being used on a Ryobi TSS101L, an older model. It works perfectly. It is being used with an Oneida dust cobra and as you can see in the video, it captures just about all of the dust.
This is probably the best accessory that I’ve ever purchased for a tool. It by far exceeded my expectations. It helps control the dust so well that I can’t believe that the manufacturers haven’t approached you guys about making this for them as standard equipment.

This dust collection kit for the Ryobi TSS103 miter saw works as described. My only gripe is that the dust collection kinda sucks at collecting dust when doing any type of a sliding cut. It seems like the dust just hits the rubber flap and then deflects off it instead of it getting sucked up. So I would say that it is perfect for the people who don’t do a lot of sliding cuts. But it does collect about 75 to 80 percent of the dust and definitely gets rid of the cloud of fine dust.
Well, it doesn’t catch near enough of the wood chips. I think it needs either a larger opening or, what I’m going to call, a skirt attached to the front of it. My duct collection system should be producing plenty of suction. The opening in the front is just too small and only catches, I’d say, half of the dust.
This is the best upgrade for this miter saw! I'm so glad you came out with this for Ryobi. And this fits on my older model, the PBLMS01 10" sliding miter. The dust collection is day and night different from the stock

Tried it for the first time today. I Was a little perturbed that it needed some hammer force to get it fully seated in place. It seemed to suck up the sawdust much bette but I will wait to see how it works on a bigger project than just making some cut to see the results of the new dust chute.

I have been waiting awhile for a version to come out for my Ryobi. I could not stand the amount of saw dust the saw was creating. I actually started to avoid using the miter saw and using my table saw more just to avoid the mess that was left behind. However with the new dust chute there is a minimal amount of saw dust left behind. Thank you for providing a great product.

Chute works well and cuts down on the sawdust. Had a little trouble with the installation because there was an extra piece in the threaded part that connects the chute to the hose. Had to cut the piece out with a hacksaw.
It works great ! Hardly any sawdust that it doesn't capture. Most definitely recommend it !
The device was quick and easy to install. It greatly reduces the disaster area around the saw. Nothing could eliminate the sawdust accumulation entirely, but the device is a vast improvement over factory. After a couple weeks' use, I'd say it cuts down the mess by half. A very worthwhile thing!

I really like this and it helps with the dust tremendously! You can see a huge difference on the saw and shop floor....a lot less dust when used with the dust collector. Although, like others have said once you cut something larger than a 2x4 it does not work near as well. The flap folds up and I think the dust goes under and around it :( I can make it work on a 2x6 though. I just come straight down (chop style like a fixed miter saw) then slide the miter blade saw forward to finish the cut. Not the way you should use a sliding miter saw but it works. Anything larger than a 2x6 I would not do that. I do appreciate the developer coming up with this item since miter saw dust is sooooo difficult to control.
It was a big improvement
I was a little skeptical before ordering because my Ryobi 12” sliding miter saw was a digit or two off the specified model numbers for this product but thankfully it fit perfectly. As far as performance itself… complete night and day. I had always run a large shop vac off the factory port and wondered what’s the point if I have to clean up all this sawdust anyway?? This is a game changer and I highly suggest it to anyone facing the same sawdust hell I once was. The design and thought put into this is well worth the price. 10/10 stars👍🏼.
I just upgraded the dust collection on my Ryobi 10" bevel miter saw and it works incredibly well compared to the factory installed dust chute. It came with an adapter for a 2 1/2 inch vacuum hose and additional rubber sweep. Install took about 3 minutes tops. Thank you Shop Nation!
