This replacement dust chute is designed specifically for the Metabo/Hitachi 12" Double Bevel Compound Sliding Miter Saws. It significantly enhances dust collection efficiency without limiting your saw’s capacity or range of motion. The chute is also easily detachable if you need to restore full capacity after installation. Note that compatibility is limited to these models, and fit on other saws is not guaranteed.

Which saws does it fit?

Do I need a vacuum or dust collector?
Yes. The chute steers debris into your hose, so you'll need a shop vac or dust collector connected to it to get the full benefit.
How hard is it to install?
It's straightforward. It bolts into the same spot as the factory chute, but may require some modification to your saw. Most installs take a few minutes.
Can I go back to the factory chute?
Yes. Nothing on your saw is modified, so you can put the stock chute back on any time.

Got it in Short Order . It is a huge improvement over the stock one . I highly recommend this thing . Keep in mind that you have to modify the Hitachi saw , but no biggie after watching the video . Whole thing took less than 15 min .

I just installed this chute on my Metabo, and it rocks! I felt like I waited years for this to be in stock. Other than having to bore out hole for the pin to fit, it is flawless. Cut through a bunch of 4x4s with no mess. Big time difference. Worth the wait.

Super easy install
The dust adapter for my Metabo C12RSH2 fit perfectly. The installation video and instructions were simple and easy to follow. As mentioned on the web site, a small cast aluminum blade guide needs to be cut off the saw but it is easy to do. I'd estimate a 70-75% improvement in capturing dust just by replacing the dust chute.
The dust collection chute installed in minutes and appears it will be much more effective than the factory one. Looking forward to seeing it in action.
Works great. Easy to install. I had to remove for blade change. But so problem. One screw. It definitely helped the dust collecting.
This works great! Be advised that the C12RSH model also needs to be modified. You will need to cut the casting as shown in the photo.
I'm rebuilding my small shop and adding a bunch of new tools, one of which is the Metabo HPT 12" miter saw. Dust collection on this unit has been a bit of a journey. The Shop Nation chute is a simple upgrade that has made a big improvement to dust getting kicked out during a cut.

I'm in the middle of building a new shop. Building is finished and I'm building cabinets, drawers and doors. Dust collection is halfway complete. I just recently finished my miter saw station. I'm using a Metabo HTP 12 inch saw. Using it makes such a mess inside the shop that I switched to using my Dewalt 10 inch saw that's all a mobile base. I could move it outside eliminating the mess inside. That was OK until it turned winter here. So, a good alternetive was in order. I built a hood around my Metabo saw. That didn't help much. Having seen the adds for Shop Nations add-ons, I took the plunge. The add-on kit arrived a few days later and I installed it immediately. The install was easy. NOW, FINALLY, I could work inside the shop. A test run was in order. I needed a wall mount for my dust collection blower. Some 2 x 4's and a dozen cuts later and the results of the add-on is very obvious. To say I'm pleased is an understatement. The difference in the stock flap and the add-on flap is like night and day.. Having made a dozen cuts using the factory flap, I would have spent several minutes cleaning up. The same number of cuts using the add-on flap, left virtually no dust at all. I simply pulled the vacuum hose from the saw a spent 20 seconds or so cleaning the back side of the saw. I am amazed! If your working with a factory flap on your saw, do yourself a favor and get one of these kits. YES. I was also skeptical. Not now!
Fit perfectly on my older Hitachi C12LSH….probably 85-90% effective in collecting saw dust, but considerably better than what I had before.
Installation was a breeze. The dust is definitely reduced.
It does a pretty good job collecting 98 % of the saw dust.

It works exactly as claimed. It makes a significant difference in the amount of dust. It doesn’t get everything but it gets most of it. It works best when you’re moving the blade as opposed to just doing a chop cut. It was very easy to install, and I did not mind cutting out that piece at all as it really never did anything anyway. I’m very happy with it. It was a good purchase, a good price, and it works!

Functional wise it is working great. It took me 30 to 60 minutes to make it fit. I had to trim and file 2 section. Please reach out to me, for the improvement suggestion. On the sliding Hitachi/Metabo sliding miter saw.

I used to have a huge dust problem on my walls, and my vacuum didn't seem to make a difference. But after installing the Metabo 12" miter saw dust collection chute, I'm blown away by the results. Now, I might see a few stray dust specks near the saw, but my walls are spotless. The chute really delivers. I'm loving it!
I was a bit skeptical when I first opened the package because the chute for the Hitachi saws is not a large or complicated piece. However, it improves dust collection dramatically. Directions and video made installation easy, even with the need to remove a part from the saw base to accommodate the new chute. The piece is sturdy and fits with close tolerances to boost the performance of your OEM chute to a level that will meet or exceed your expectations.

Looks and feels like a good product. I asked ShopNation to look at making one for this saw model. I was so excited to hear that the project was completed. I purchased one immediately and installed it within a few days. The hardest part was removing that piece in the rear. That hurt...but the final results was worth it. The only issue that I experienced was the red securing nut did not line up with my saw hole. It was just short. I was afraid to use a mallet to make sure that the adapter was seated well...but the red nut never lines up. I had to make a little more adjustments to get it to work. All in all, I was torn between 3 or 4 stars. In the end, it is a good product, but the most important part that secures this adapter required some more work. Oh well.
The stock dust collection on my Metabo was terrible. It was so bad I was considering buying a Bosch miter saw just so I could get a SN dust collector because at the time it wasn’t available for Metabo. SN dust collection is a thousand percent better. Great job
I was skeptical about this but after installing and using I am a believer. From nearly no dust collection to nearly no dust this is very impressive.
Excellent addition to my Metabo HPT. I had a SN chute on my Dewalt that worked ridiculously well until I broke it while making a cut that I should’ve not tried. The piece of wood was not secured, as well as I thought, and the blade chucked the wood into the dust chute. But the good news is that I still have all my fingers and the Metabo HPT chute works as well as my Dewalt did.
Received order quickly and everything needed was in the package. My model saw required me to chop off a piece of the cast aluminum originally meant for kickback protection, but mine was faulty from the factory so it was useless anyway. When I inserted the chute into the saw, I had to make another customization; I had to drill out the hole for the thumbscrew so it would line up properly. Then I used a washer on the thumbscrew to keep it secure. See pics attached. Someone else said they filed some of the SN chute to make it fit which would have been a better idea but you live and learn. The dust collection is improved but not 100% perfect, though it doesn’t claim to be. Just be prepared to make changes on the fly to make it work.
Showed up on time, product worked as described not total dust collection as stated but cut down on dust flying around considerably. Install was easy as well I was done in 15 minutes max. I would definitely recommend this product if you were looking to capture more dust from your miter saw.

Easy install & works better than anticipated. Hooked to a Ridgid 6.5 peak Hp shop vac with a small Clear Vue cyclone in between. Amazing dust collection…no noticeable dust in air or around saw after numerous crosscuts of 2x4s. Highly recommended!
The dust chute fit perfectly with no issues. Was concerned about the proximity of the blade to the walls of the chute, but still had room for blade deflection. Dust collection drastically improved, and saw sliding still has full motion with no impingements.
I was a bit skeptical, but when I attached it to my miter saw and started using it, I was amazed at how great it worked. Money well spent!
Exactly as advertised, fit perfectly. Looks great. My only suggestion would be to have the rubber attached when shipped because my fat fingers had a time getting those little screws into the hole
I placed the new saw chute on the saw. if works well. I have not used the thread gauge yet but will use in the future.
