The video instructions for removing the factory parts are wrong for the DW718 saw, at least for the one that I have. It wasn't that hard to figure out how to get the old parts out once I realized there was a screw that had to be removed. The new parts fit and work very well.

I have a Dewalt DW718 sliding compound miter saw, I cut miters in either direction without having to disconnect from the dust collector. I have it connected to my shop vac and almost all of the dust was caught. I was skeptical until I got it connected and put it to use. Cut my clean up time by 95%. Glad that i made this purchase, money well spent. Thanks to Shop Nation for great product. Highly recommended.

Installation video was helpful, and the pieces all fit well. I had trouble with the two #30 star bolts holding the rear blade guard on. They’re not meant to come off easily, I guess. Bought a new Klein wrench and the installation went well after that. Works great and fits my Festool dust extractor perfectly.

Game changer for a 15 yr old DW718.
Putting silicone on the adapters prevent the plastics sticking together.
Also needed to bend the guard linkage bar as it was rubbing the collection housing, a little silicone helped also.

much better dust collector than stock and custom tent! however i dislike the fact i need to remove for every blade change.. its about 1/16" away from not being a problem and seems like this can be adjusted on their 3d printer for the next batch they make. also the rubber dust collecting flange hits 4x material when saw makes its way down. other than that it does what i need it to... keep the shop and jobsite dust down by about 75+%

The Dewalt 718 dust collector is great! It installed exactly as you described in about 5 minutes. The original one captured almost no dust and this new one captures almost all the dust. Great design, easy installation, excellent dust collection.

Parts are well made and easy to add to the saw. It has greatly improved the dust collection with just a shop vac. I will add a cyclone for the fine dust that was not being picked up before and quickly clogs the filter now.This is great improvement to my saw.

Dust collection is a huge improvement over the Dewalt original dust duct. The price is excellent also. Don’t hesitate to purchase.
Recommend that the hose adapters interconnects be improved as they need to be taped to stay attached.
That said these are a huge step forward!!

This was an easy install and greatly improved the dust collection - I just installed 1200 sq ft of flooring and only discovered this with only a few pieces left to install! Wish I'd had it the whole way!
If I could improve it further it would be simply to have a better, more rigid fixing for the hose attachment to the motor body. But regardless, I'm really pleased with the much improved collection performance and would certainly recommend this product.

This dust chute was very easy to install on my DW718 miter saw! I hooked up my Rigid shop vac to it and could not believe how much air it was pulling through this new chute!
I tested it by cutting some black walnut, that I had, just so I could see the dust better and there was absolutely nothing.
This chute is a game changer for this saw! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS CHUTE!

I have spent much money and built several enclosers to capture the dust over the past 25 years, and nothing seemed to work. This little gem was easy to attach, and it WORKS! There is very little to clean up, especially on beveled miter cuts. Thank you very much for this. My shop is waiting for something to help on the table saw. Dust collecting has always been an issue with woodworkers. The factory dust Collection on the sliding miter saws work about 25%. This product collects around 90% of the dust. I wish this product was invented sooner. I have been a woodworker for 40 years. I would highly recommend this.

Instructions were a little short, but managed to install the dust collector in a few minutes. This device replaced a huge box I built to catch dust from the saw; this dust collector works better than could be ever expected from any "hood"!! Virtually catches 99% of the dust, worth every penny of the cost!

Ordered this because the DeWalt provided dust pickup was basically useless. My order arrived promptly, but had some shipping damage. Replacement parts arrived today. Installation was really easy, the hardest part was hanging onto tiny screws with stubborn old fingers.
