Which saws does it fit?
It's made specifically for the DeWalt DW718 Sliding Miter Saw. Match the model number on your saw's label before ordering.
Do I need a vacuum or dust collector?
Yes. The chute steers debris into your hose, so you'll need a shop vac or dust collector connected to it to get the full benefit.
How hard is it to install?
It's straightforward. It bolts into the same spot as the factory chute, with no cutting, drilling or modification to your saw. Most installs take a few minutes.
Can I go back to the factory chute?
Yes. Nothing on your saw is modified, so you can put the stock chute back on any time.

Easy install, pairs up directly with my existing dust extraction hose. Signifiantly more chips/dust sucked up than the stock solution.

It wasn't as easy to install on the instructions, they're a few more steps required. I also don't like the fact when you're set your saw to cut on a 45 degree bevel, it cuts the rubber flange
Too brittle, 3D print quality is poor and does not allow for Dewalt quick connect vacuum adapter despite this is meant to replace the factory dust collector which does. When it broke the plastic chunks flew over 30 feet away. This is major hazard to gain a small dust improvement. Not worth it
It fit perfectly. Easy to install as the instructions said, and greatly reduced the amount of saw dust. It was a huge difference from the stock set up.

It was easy to install. It did however rub on the guard linkage but additional washers and a longer screw solved the problem. It clearly picks up more dust than the original factory setup. Not sure what percent it captures but a lot better than nothing
Easy to install and the difference in dust collection is night and day compared to stock. I would say about 90% of the dust is picked up.
My company manufactures antenna systems for the amateur radio cummunity, military and civilian emergency operations centers. We cut a LOT of aluminum and plastic on our miter saw, and I have to say that this device scoops up the shavings! The OE dust collector let most of the shavings hit the floor. This device funnels the shavings away from the blade and into my vac very effectively. Nice design with an excellent fit. Highly recommend for anyone that is tired of sweeping the shop floor. Install video is very helpful. Works good on 3/4” stock or thicker. I would estimate it catches roughly 80-85% of the dust and chips. I would buy again. That is a lot of debris I don’t have to clean up or breathe.
Super easy install, shipped to Canada quick and on time, all the parts were high quality and strong and lined up perfectly with the saw. The dust collection upgrade is 100percent worth the money, very happy I found this custom part.

It does a nice job. I had to get a longer hose. The one provided was only 5” compressed. I need a 20” hose extended. While changing the hose, I ordered a little larger diameter hose as well, so now, this thing really sucks!

Awesome product! I wasn't sure it would fit my middle aged DW718 as the picture of the product didn't match my saw exactly but given the popularity I put my trust in shop nation and what a game changer this is! I saw the difference immediately and couldn't be happier with my purchase. I will note I forgot to turn on the shop vac during one of the cuts so the dust in the pic is classic operator error.
Your dust collection system was exactly what I was looking for. It was simple to install with your video, and keeps my shop dust free without any dust hassles. I use my Delta compound miter saw for making picture frames, and to have the procedure dustless is a major benefit.
So far the unit seems to perform well. Had some issues getting is attached with the screw hole inside the unit. Hard to see and had to feel my way to insert it. Would have liked to have the proper screwdriver included. I did not have the correct size but the one I used worked. I would recomend this product because it seems to work much better than my original unit.

This product is a major improvement for dust collection on my miter saw. It is well made and installs easily. The kit is well put together and the installation video is very helpful. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a miter saw dust collection solution.
Super easy to install, picks up an excellent amount of dust. The only drawback so far is that the rubber shroud makes cutting tall boards more challenging. Still the best dust collection option yet.
The directions provided were outstanding. Being able to have video showing each step was great. Cut mast supports for my sailboat and I was happily surprised by the very little saw dust that was not caught. Clean up is now super simple. Cutting a ton of lumber for shelving in the coming weeks and saving the clean up will be great.
The overall design works great for dust collection. I noticed an improvement immediately. However the first small cutoff kicked up by the blade broke the plastic just above the rubber flap. This happened on the first or second day of use. Some reenforcement needs to be added in this area. If this upgrade is made I would definately recommend this product. For those of us who use their saw everyday this is not a product that will last long term.
I will say that I was skeptical. I ran into a little trouble on the install. I had purchased my saw from a friend a few years ago. The saw was actually missing two bolts from the blade guard. Went to the hardware store and was able to find the correct bolts. Returned back to the shop and installed the unit. Got my dust control installed to hose and proceeded to cut. It captures 95% of the dust. Absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend this unit without a doubt.

I was very skeptical at first, because I have an older model (DW718 like 15 years old). I was blown away by the performance after I installed it, I couldn't believe it actually fit and works!! Made a true believer out of me!! -Kang
