Dust Collection Chute for Delta Cruzer Miter Saw

Works fine for plywood and other thin stock, but it cannot be used with thicker material (e.g. 2") where the saw must be slid forward to begin the cut

Here are some photos of the dust the after making about 50 or more cuts at 90 and 45 degrees. Prior to adding the SN dust port you could hardily read the scales on the miter saw after making even a few cuts. I am building a new shop and have my miter saw on a temporary mobile cart. I have a dedicated Rigid shop vac with automatic activation switch. I will incorporate the same set up when I complete my new work cabinets with built in miter saw setup. Only drawback is I have to open the miter saw fence slightly to allow for the dust port to clear on sliding cuts, but that has not been any problem. Had to do that with factory port as well. The upgraded Cruzer has a better dust port that the original version but no where close to picking up what the SN port picks up. I highly recommend this upgrade and big shout out to Travis for taking the time to prefect this item.

Easy enough to install, but installation instructions are worthless, not everyone wants to "scan here" or watch a seven minute video that's just a waste of time. Overpriced for what I got.

Substantialy less dust.

Finally had time to install and absolutely love it! So far I have only had to make straight cuts but the dust is finally down to a minimum. Before I had to have a dust mask on because it was so bad, now barely any even gets on my hand/arm that's holding the stock as I'm cutting. Awesome addition to my saw!

The 3D printed parts are very thick and seem to be pretty strong. No problems putting it on my Delta saw. Works like they show in the videos.

Works great, captures a majority of the dust. Is a huge improvement from the factory dust chute.

Premise is good. Better than stock, not worth $60.00. specs could be tighter around blade for better efficiency and functionality! Limits the saw in certain situations. First one shattered in a million pieces, giving this one the benefit of the doubt. I won't buy a third!! Thx.

It didn’t collect any more sawdust than the existing fitting. And it was impossible to install without the torx extension. Very disappointing!

Can,t cut 45s with it on the saw.

Although it wouldn't work on my 10-inch Radial Arm saw, what I am seeing the part is well made and I am sorry it wouldn't fit mine to see it work.

Works really well. As with any miter saw, you’re not going to catch all the dust but it performs much better that the original. Installation is a bit tricky but that’s a saw issue not a dust collector issue.

Super easy to install.

It busted from a 1/2”x1-1/8” piece of cherry kickback. Make them out of better material as it seemed very brittle. Had to put my stock back on the saw.

Simple to install. I’m bummed that I can’t use my zero clearance fence now, but does a pretty good job collecting the dust. My biggest complaint was shipping. It took 2 weeks to get it.

Works well, easy to install. Miter saws are notorious for dust so you’ll never completely be dust free, but this attachment to my delta cruiser does eliminate about 80% of the saw dust. Good price, good quality, and timely shipping. Overall very satisfied with my purchase.

I like that the unit works as described, I’m not excited about having to remove it to remove the blade or cut a 45 degree Again it works as described

The dust collection portion was better. But I couldn't get the saw to the 45 degree on either side. So I put the original parts back on and returned the saw. The saw wasn't making the greatest cuts anyway. I know these saws will never get all the dust. The further extended the saw was the worst the dust collection and the cut got.

Great product worst part of it is that I have to back out a screw on the blade hard to get a blade on or off. But it dose collect 90% of the dust produced

The dust collection is good, but having to remove it to change the blade means I have exchanged one nuisance (dust collection) with another (time consuming blade change)

Haven’t used saw since installing. Product seems well made but installation was extremely difficult. This is not your fault it is just how the chute on the saw is made. I will update when I use it.

Delta Cruzer factory dust collection is terrible even with a vacuum hook up. Shop Nation dust collector works AWESOME. Virtually no sawdust when hooked to shop vac! Extremely happy with this product

Would prefer to be able to install it with the blade off the saw. Also, I had to really dial back the suction as the rubber flap will get sucked up into the chute. But overall, so far so good and the dust collection is much improved.

Perfect fit

Installation requires a long extension to reach the screws for installation and you have to remove the dust collector anytime you want to change the saw blade. Neither of these are mentioned in the product information or the installation video. So far it appears to be an improvement but have not had a chance to use it very much.

Screws were a little bit tricky to get installed, but once on everything seems to work well. Far better than the stock dust collection.

Didn't know till putting in on the instructions says won't cut a 45

This is my second dust collector for my Delta Cruzzer. The first one broke. I’m having difficulty getting it past the blade and in place. The access to the screws is almost impossible.

Not that easy to install and have to remove (time consuming) for 45 cuts. Instructions should say to leave the rubber hood 1/2 unconnected when trying to screw unit into saw. But it is much better than what came with the saw.

It is clearly better at collecting dust than the one which Delta provides with it. The problem is that it make it very difficult to install the blade with it on.

I've now purchased 5 of these. They are awesome at cutting down the dust.

it’s no good cutting MDF. it still sprays everywhere. It’s no good cutting thick material 2 inches and up, it sprays everywhere. I don’t get all the hype.

I decided to upgrade my 30 year old Delta miter saw with a 10" Cruzer. I was well aware of the dust collection short comings of the stock dust chute. I ordered the ShopNation kit the same day that ordered the saw. All I can say is WOW! What an improvement, very effective. Installation was straight forward, only two screws. However the original screws were a bit too short for the new chute. Not a problem as I had some longer m5 screws on hand. The only thing to be aware of is I can't see anyway to install or remove the blade without removing the chute first. Not a big deal as I am more then happy to have the superior dust collection.

Love the quality, I had broke the other one thru no fault of the product. A jam to improper set up was the cause. I for some reason probably my mistake received two and charged for two. If I could get a return label, I'll ship the other one back in the original box never been removed. And hopefully get a refund for one after you receive the one back. Product is excellent.

Works so much better than the stock one. Wish I would have bought it sooner. Worth every penny.

I love the adaptor as fitted on my Delta Cruzer saw. It greatly enhances the sawdust collection, but has one feature that I'm having problems dealing with. With the adapter installed, it prevents my saw from making a complete 45 degree cut. At the end of the cut, the adapter makes contact with the top of the saws guide surface and I'm left with about 1/4 inch of my board left uncut. I ordered two of these adapters, one for the Cruzer and the other for the compound saw. Happy with the results, except for this one problem. Maybe another look from the design team.

I have a model 26–2 312 bought it not knowing whether the 2251 was compatible before the order got here. I finally got a hold of Delta and this they said the 2312 had upgrades but the dust collection system was not part of it, so the 26–2251 does fit on the 2312 model and that works wonderful

It’s probably user errors, but this thing is a pain to install using the existing screws. They don’t seem quite long enough especially when compared to the thin thickness of the stock dust collector. Seems well made, but after a while I realized I won’t want to go through this again when I need to make beveled cuts.

It's a great product. My miter station is lot cleaner now.

First of all this little gadget actually does help dust collection over the OEM. It's not perfect, but enough better so that when I cut into a very hard knot and it exploded and demolished the chute I bought a year ago, I immediately put in an order for another Shop Nation Delta Chute. When I went to screw in the new chute using the OEM M5-.08x10mm self tapping screws, they would not grab. After looking at what was left of the old one, I realized the new one had quite a bit thicker mounting flange than the old one. Normally this might be a good thing. (stronger) but in this case the original screws wouldn't catch enough thread to pull in and tighten. The self tapping screws are tapered at the ends so you don't get thread engagement for the first 2-3mm. I dug around in my quite limited stock of metric screws and found a standard M5-.08x12mm hex head screw. It went right in and tightened up.. Yea!! I will also mention that getting the blade back on the arbor with the chute in place is a bit of a challenge. I had to stress the sides of the chute a little with the saw blade in order to slide it up in place. I might have been able to get the chute on with the blade in place, but it looked pretty tight up there.

It seems to be significant improvement, but I'm really skeptical of the having to remove it, just to change the blade(not easy). I haven't used it a lot yet. We'll see............

Fairly bulky. Have to make sure fences are moved out of way. It fell off while cutting cause fence was not moved all the way over. Not super impressed

Good idea but poor execution. Removing the OEM collector required almost standing on your head then having to replace it with this one required leaving the blade on compounding the difficulty. As I said it’s a good idea but the design left this a part that needs better manufacturing and easier installation. Without serious determination to make it work, most guys would just return it.

I really like the concept. The fit on my Delta Cruizer was good except one of the screws would not catch the threads so I had to remove some of the material from the dust collector to secure it. Otherwise everything is working well.

The fit is perfect, and it does improve dust collection quite a bit. The reason for only four stars is because it eliminates the use of a vertical zero clearance fence. Other than that, this upgrade very nice.

Gathers a lot of the saw dust but not as much as in the videos, especially hooked to my 2hp dust collector direst. I am in the middle of the road, cool concept.

You know I was very happy with the shop nation product until a little kick back happened a shattered the new dust collector well I ordered another one caulked it up to my mistake so I ordered another then the unexpected happen again just frustrated at this point. So I reached out to shop nation and it went though the channel and they did replace the last one I was expecting to have to buy another but they said it was under warranty. Thank God because I was very reluctant about ordering another one but the customer service is top notch. Did get to talk to anyone but they did replace one of them. Which is is not the norm but they did replace it. Awesome

Install video could have added: Unplug the power to the saw first (common sense, I know, but still...); Why there are only four screws connecting the rubber chute when the video shows 6 or more; how to remove the handle so the adapter can be installed.

Easy to install and does a much better job than the factory "collection system" does.

It does collect dust well, but is has some major flaws that restricts the adjustable wings and thick of cut capacity.

I was dubious about the product but the sawdust was overwhelming and I needed to do something. I just got a new miter saw, Delta Cruzer, and it was making as big a mess as my very old DeWalt. When I looked at the install procedure I was a little worried about finding the screws to remove the old shut but with a longer screwdriver it came out pretty easy. Now I was worried about putting the new shut in. The screw on the left was easy but I really couldn't see the one on the right. I realized that I could hold the screw in place from the top and was as easy as the other side. The best new is, is that it really works. Not 100%, I'd say more like 80 to 90% but that's a whole lot better than the mess I was making before Shop Nation dust collection solution.

I love this miter saw dust collection chute for mt Delta miter saw. Unfortunately this is my third one now, since they easily get destroyed if a Board lets loose and slams into it. This is my problem not your. This could easily be remedied if I just clamped down the board.

Never received the product yet. I been waiting for it but it doesn’t look like it’s coming anytime soon. At this point I’m disappointed.

I bought two of your mitre saw dust chutes and both of them broke. First one I thought was my fault but ou really shouldn't be charging more than a finished product price for something that is as prone to failure. It's not a finished product unless you go through industrially processed material trials as opposed to just what's on hand and cheap - this is not industrial design. You also can't make a video that tells people to make another attachment to help your product that you sell for a $50+. It reminds me of when apple placed the antenna on their iphone in a poor spot and they told customers to hold their phone differently.

I had installed the unit and in 10 min. The unit broke a piece of wood had ran up in it and scattered the collector. The durability it not there. So did not get to really use so there was frustration.

System works better than stock, however installing it was harder than shown in the video,, I had to take the blade out in order to install the screws,, overall it works great

Didnt even last a day before it broke. The restrictions that it has is not worth the dust convenience.

Shipping was fast and the price was fair, the product however was definitely way lower quality than what I expected. The print lines were horrible and looked as though it was printed on an off the shelf $100 printer with stock settings. I will say that two of the three items I got were good but the main item was the issue. (The dust extractor replacement for the delta cruzer 12 inch)I haven't used my saw yet but I would imagine it should work even though print quality isn't very good.

Very pleased with my experience with Shop Nation! I purchased the dust collection chute for my Delta Cruzer and it significantly cut down on the amount of dust! Unfortunately I was cutting a piece of PVC and it backfired on me (my fault completely). It shattered the chute but luckily I kept all my fingers. I reached out to Shop Nation and shared my experience. They totally came through for me and made it right. It's nice to see people still doing good business out there!

Took a bit of a risk purchasing this, since I didn’t know if it was compatible with the newer version of the Delta Cruzer 12” sliding miter saw (Model No 26-2312). I’m happy to report that it fits perfectly and seems to be MUCH better than the stock dust chute. I have it connected to a simple dust collection system (Dustopper Pro connected to a Ridgid shop vac). SO satisfying seeing all the debris go through and into the cyclone system.

Installed as instructions. First cut the blade guard was pushed into the blade by the dust chute and destroyed one side before it stoped .Been a carpenter and a GC for 50 years so I’m pretty sure it was installed properly. Product is a good idea but just not for me. I’ll deal with the sawdust

The replacement part works well. I’m just afraid another piece of wood is gonna kick back and break it again. There is way less dust with this design so if it was more sturdy, I would give it five stars.

The instructions could be better. I have a college degree and consider myself mechanically inclined, yet I initially started removing the wrong installation screws. I question the QA/QC of production. My dust collector adapter cracked while trying to install it. There seemed to be inconsistencies on the inside of the adapter and the plastic seemed brittle. I reached out by email to resolve the issue and didn't receive a response. Hopefully, PayPal will make it right.

Nice design and print. Makes a HUGE difference on the dust collection. Only complaint is angled adapter which you need on the Cruzer didn't fit my Fein dust collector - not their fault.

Second time buying this. Works fine, but the first time a small piece of wood got caught on the blade after a cut and was sent into this collector. It shattered the 3d printing material into many pieces of shrapnel. Whole piece exploded. I should've been more careful on taking a small amount off a piece of wood with no fence backing, but this thing can compound an error you make. Definitely want to use all safety equipment while this is installed.

Absolutely the best in communication, product, and customer service. If you’re on the fence about how much this improves dust collection. Well my friend you need a push, I’ll never run my miter saw without it and once you try it neither will you.

Customer service from Travis is nonexistent! I bought my first one way back in 2022, and it exploded from an off cut being hurled through the poorly manufactured 3D printed plastic. I asked for a replacement, and was denied! So I bit the bullet and swallowed my pride and bought a replacement. God help him if this one fails!

Great! Communication was excellent. Install was a PIA but what a difference it makes. Would have been easier with an extended Torx bit.
