Drastically improve the dust collection on your Delta Cruzer Miter Saw with this 3D Printed dust chute. It requires NO modification of the saw and bolts in the exact same spot as the stock dust chute.
NOTE: This solution is designed SPECIFICALLY for the Delta Cruzer models 26-2241 & 26-2251. It will also fit the Ridgid models R4251 & R4241 but there is a separate listing for the Ridgid version.
Dust Chute Benefits:

I’m a bit disappointed that the 45 degree doesn’t clear the saw. Also it interferes on a 45 degree angle to the right when cutting a 5” wide board. But is does a pretty nice job collecting the dust from the saw paired with a 6.5hp shop vac.

The kit arrived and looked great! Installation was super easy thanks to the video instruction. After install, I cut a couple pieces of some cedar. Dust collection was phenomenal especially compared to the stock collection. Great purchase!

Overall it has been a good product and has helped with dust collection quite a bit. The only negative I have is that the supplied rubber strips that attach to the piece to deflect sawdust were a little bit short, which makes attaching them difficult and the first few times I used it they fell off.

Works great it really sucks BUT, even with a shop vac with a 1 1/2” hose it has a tendency to collapse the rubber collar. Maybe needs to be just a tad stiffer. Does pick up 90% of dust. Very happy so far. Imho

It was horrible! Takes forever to install, screws are very hard to get to, (real pain) and you need to un-install and re-install every time you change blades! Plus, I don't think you can bevel cut a far as they say you can. Just me but...
If I coould get a refund I would but waited too to install it. Took it off, put OEM back on. NOT WORTH IT!

I purchased this product to replace one I bought before that exploded due to an off cut shooting through it. I’m always careful to let the blade stop before raising it to keep small off cuts from getting thrown but one got away from me. Nevertheless, the new dust shoot looks better than the old one. I definitely recommend getting one of these.

Travis absolutely killed it with this dust shoot for the Delta Cruzer. Of course, the miter saw is the biggest contributor to rouge dust in the shop - this modification greatly reduces the amount that is sprayed around the shop. 10/10 recommend! Find the one for your saw!

The fit is bigger than the stock and limits the use of any zero clearance fence to cut small pieces safely. I am very disappointed.

the dust collections is improved. however it is difficult to get complete cuts. The size of the new dust shoot stops the saw from cutting completely through the lumber leaving a small piece attached to the stock. I like the improved dust collection but I will remove as i am not willing to sacrifice normal performance of the saw..

The dust collection is significantly better. A couple issues I've ran into. The dust flap hits the blade when you have a board that's more than a few inches tall. Also you can't do a 45° bevel cut with the upgraded dust collection. It hits the main part of the fence and it's not removable.

The part was much sturdier than the original part. The gap that the blade goes through is a little tight it could be spread a little more, but all in all it was a huge upgrade from the stock part. Now I’ll give it 2 stars on the delivery time took to look to get. Lucky Amazon didn’t carry it I would have ordered from them, sorry being truthful. Thank you.

This is the second one of these that I have purchased. I blew out the back of the first one, my fault, not an issue with the chute. I was cutting something sketchy.
The dust collection is amazing. The down side is that I can't have a zero clearance fence with it in use. But I am willing to live with that to keep the dust down.

Did not work well. In my opinion any dust capture shroud that has to first be removed for a blade change is not a good solution. Also the tek screw hole thickness was too thick, so the oem screws could not get enough purchase and so the chute popped off while trying to make a cut. Just put the old chute back on and will have to deal with the dust.

I had one of these that was an excellent dust collector. I was cutting a piece of hard walnut and the end of the board splintered into several pieces. One of the pieces was big enough to shatter my shop nation dust collector. I went online right after that and ordered a new one. Nothing that I tried works better than my shop nation dust collector. I only have a 10-inch Delta Cruz miter saw but it works just fine for what I need it to do. very good product in my opinion.

Worked really well at picking up the saw dust, but do cut thin cuts with caution as they will get thrown back and damage the delicate 3d printed scoop. Wish buyers could purchase the files to print so I can do that on my own at my library now that I'm on my second one!
All in all, great design and engineering to make this work SO much better than what the manufacturer provided!

I had purchased the dust collection for my Delta Cruzer and liked it. My fault I cut a small piece and it blew the back off( no fault of the piece). I put the factory piece back on and ordered a new one. Honestly I had no clue as to how much it worked until I put the new one on. I’m more careful cutting smaller pieces now but these do a fantastic job getting most of the sawdust

I had to modify the hose adapter to get my 2-1/2" hose to stay in the dust collector hose adapter. I have a Rigid shop vacuum and dust separator. When I connect it, the flap at the bottom would draw together and block dust collection. So I had a handle adapter that I use that allows me to reduce a little bit of suction. Now it performs much better.

Really a huge improvement over the factory dust boot. The only problem so far that I have found was when I put a thicker piece of wood to cut that it cut into the rubber attachment that hooks onto the 3D printed part. They send you 2 of these pieces so when one wears out you can replace it. Very satisfied though so far.

I bought a 10” & a 12 “. The 10” had a a weird mark on it when I got it. The second time I used it it shattered. I think there was a flaw in it when it was made. I’m just glad my saw and blade are ok. Had to put back the one that came with the saw. If you could find a way to send me a replacement I would give it a try. The 12” seems to be fine so far. Thanks.

Good product, a little tricky to Re-install the blade but once it’s all back together, works well. My last one shattered when a small cutoff was slammed in to it, but partly my fault! Definitely will but again if it happens again

The dust collection piece doesn't work with my Ridgid 10” Miter Saw. The blade on the saw needs to be angled in order for it to go over and onto the arbor, and the slot in the dust collection piece isn't wide enough to allow it to do so.

Gotta say. The reviews are actually on point. This thing works great!! The installation video is correct about needing a very long stem screwdriver for the screws, which I fortunately have. A light is helpful as well. lol. The real genius in the design is the way the 3D printing allows a perfect fit. Otherwise, reinstalling this would have been considerably more difficult! Instead, it lined up great and made getting those screws in much easier. PRO TIP: before attaching, thread the screws in until they protrude a little, then install the attachment. The precise design allows the screws to serve as a guide and slip back into their holes with ease. Then connect your dust collection and prepare to be completely blown away!

The dust collection adapter on my Cruzer works and works pretty well. That's the good news. The not so good news is that it needs to be added with the blade installed, AND when you want to change blades it has to be removed. Both instances are difficult as the screws are virtually hidden and finding them with the Torx screwdriver is a real chore. The limitation on the amount you can bevel is also not appreciated. Maybe the adapter could be a two-piece unit: the back half remains in place but the front half could be easily removed for blade changes and bevels. Is this possible? I hope so and would happily buy the new version.

Once installed, I ran some test cuts. True they are entirely subjective, but I felt I was seeing a substantial change
since then I use the saw with suction attached through the port daily and it word fine.
Only thing which is the saw, if the saw head is rotated on its vertical axis, it does limit the depth of cut towards the fence

The dust collection chute is an improvement, but as i stated in one email, once you can make some adjustment to it so i don’t have to take it off to change blades, that would help. It seems that the tap into the housing is not the greatest, so the screws that attach it may strip out if it has to be taken off and on several times. I know that’s not your doing, but it is still a problem if it happens.
Also the adaptor you sent in the complete kit for the 2” hose connection doesn’t work with my hose. There is minimal clearance with you adaptor. you developed it with an offset, but it’s not enough. Needs to offset maybe 1/4” more for the universal hose i use

10” saw. Love the dust collection. However cannot lay the saw down to miter at all and removing the unit is a major hassle. If you never tilt your saw, it is a fantastic unit.

It works pretty good. My guess is it collects about 80% of the dust. As the saw came, even when hooked up to a shop vac collection was next to nothing. Unfortunately I have found two draw backs. If you use the slide function you can't cut any stock over a inch and a half thick and the device must be removed before you can change the saw blade. All in all not bad but not great.

Overall, I'm very happy with this. It is a little tricky to install. This is not a flaw of the part itself but is primarily a side effect of how the saw is designed and how the part needs to be swapped. Note also that it is important to be careful to not allow your saw blade to catch and throw an offcut into the piece or it may shatter. The fence design for the Cruzer is such that you may need to create a small supplemental "zero clearance" fence as you cannot really get this with the built in fence.

Great fit and great quality with extra rubber replacement flaps!! Easy installation . Added an 1" 1/2 flex coupling onto my vacuum port with 1" 1/4 reducer adapter for my m18 milwaukee wet dry vac !!
