This listing is for REPLACEMENT PARTS only for the Dewalt DWS779, 780, 718, 782, and 709 miter saw dust collection products. These individual parts are meant to get you back up and running if you have already purchased a full kit! Shop Nation supports our products long after you've purchased them.
Hose Adapters Update: As of December 2025 the hose adapters were upgraded from the GEN 1 design to the new GEN 2 design. If you are ordering replacement hose adapter parts, make sure to order the correct version! They are NOT compatible between generations. You can elect to upgrade your entire adapter set from GEN 1 to GEN 2 without issue since they all use the same hose - but you must replace all adapter parts so they can lock together. This is why there is a complete set option in this listing.

The Good: This product really works. It's cut down the sawdust behind my saw by probably 70%.
The not as good: The plastic used to make it is kind of brittle (I'm guessing it's 3-D printed, but I really can't say). Occasionally, I have a piece of wood fly back and strike the saw body. It happens. Last time, it shattered the chute body. I glued it, and it lasted a while, but eventually broke at the fracture.
The Good: ordering a replacement was easy, and the install was quick and painless.
A must have piece of kit for your miter saw! It makes an absolute world of difference in the dust that is created. Shop Nation really hit the nail on the head with this product. I was shocked at the difference it made. I’ll be buying one of these for every one of my saws.
Assembly took a little longer than I anticipated.
However, once I had it on the DeWalt saw, I was looking forward to using it. My first cuts resulted in quite a bit of debris l, more than I thought there would be on the backside of the saw. Then I was cutting some plywood and it really seemed to create more dust and debris outside of the chute. The vacuum is a 6 hp shop vac. . So I don’t know if that’s not strong enough or if the hose is too long, but I’m still looking forward to using and giving the dust collection system a try.
Easy peasy install. Only thing to b"ue aware of is that you'll need to move the fence halves out a bit to clear the new dust guides. That will leave about 3" "unsupported" in the middle so small off-cuts may take wing. The tradeoff is totally worth it!
I damaged the original chute. Looks like a short cutoff got launched and cracked the chute molding. The replacement works great. Adding a bit more material near the entry point and around the rubber skirt channel would make it more robust. All in all, a great dust eliminator for my shop.
I hooked it up to my new Grizzly 2 stage cyclone. Really sucks now!
Had to replace the entire dust collection piece due to a major kickback situation from a piece of scrap that was completely user error. Shop Nation shipped quickly and it was a breeze to replace. Back in action!
I use your device with a shop vac, pulse a large dust collector behind with a Harvey G700 and together they work great. I saw on the internet where someone has designed dust collection for the zero kerf area on the Dewalt……is that you? I would add that, if it came from you, but I would not switch systems to add it. What I have now works great.
On thicker wood, the saw blade catches the rubber dam and cuts it up. It also tears it out of the mounting slot. Consider making the mounting slot deeper so it might hold better.
I have these installed on my DeWalt Miter Saw and it works great. But I installed this rubber flap on my Kobalt Saw because of the ultra short dust port extension. It helps a lot.
Both items fit like a glove.
They are replacements for the original ones I bought from you
Piece of oak exploded when I cut it so I replaced these items.
Work area stays so much cleaner than the factory dust collection system.
I tell everyone to upgrade!!!
Worth every penny.
As a mechanical engineer, I can appreciate the iterative design process and enjoyed the video you posted about how you arrived at the final design. Including the various failures along the way showed that things aren’t as easy as they seem. Performance-wise, the difference between your design and the original is night and day. I did have to replace the rubber flap fairly quickly as I learned about interferences. At one point it bound up the saw and scared the hell out of me. I used a slightly stiffer gasket material that I had lying around and found it more robust. Keep up the great work and keep that printer farm rolling!
New body was a newer version than the one I originally bought. Fit fine but I was one screw short for the rubber piece. Didn't come with the Shop Nation sticker for the body. I actually wanted the sticker so I could remember where I bought it in case I need replacements in the future. Other than that everything was fine. The new version seems to work better than the original.
Rubber doesn’t go inside enough for screw to go into it. Needs to come out further so it catches more during the start and hits the deck. My housing has already broke on the right side.
Since I put this system on my DeWalt miter saw the dust collection of its own incredible it's at least diminished by almost 75 to 80%, couple tweaks and couple other things we're going to add to the back of the unit thank you awesome
The long hose allowed me to securely attach the shop vac end to the saw stand. This eliminated the shop vac hose pulling on the connection whenever the saw was pulled down for a cut, as what happened with the short hose. This too often resulted in a disconnection.
