I got this for my R4221 Ridgid Dual compound miter saw. As the picture shows I lost about 1/2 inch of travel on the slide which really doesn’t affect anything under about 50 degrees. With that said, this is GREAT !! I’m 69 years old and this thing has more suction than my high school sweetheart ! “Thank You” Shop Nation and MERRY CHRISTMAS !

Installing a very dusty laminate floor and this really helped!

Easy to assemble and effective. The only thing that didn't work for me was the rubber flap, it is too big and when it touches the material being cut, it either gets sucked by the vacuum or destroyed by the saw. I had to install the extra flap that came in the package and make it shorter.

It fit like a glove big difference over the factory one a lot less dust lovit

Solved 95% of a problem by an inadequate manufacturer design! Kudos for them to design a simple effective product. Very happy!

This was way better than I expected Now I don’t have to take my saw and roll it out by the door to cut, Love it and I would definitely get it again!!

Was easy to install and decreased the amount of dust as advertised! The only issue is if you are cutting anything thicker than 3 inches the rubber gets pushed up into the blade and chewed up.

The product is great, and the installation video was a great help. Your customer service, however, basically sucks or is non-existent. I received no order confirmation, and after ten days of no contact, I contacted you by email 5 times with no response. I only knew the product was coming by accessing your website. Amazing design!! Well made, fits perfectly and finally let’s talk dust collection. WOW!!!! That’s what I have to say about this amazing upgrade. I am not sure why rigid has not reached out to you yet!!! So here is the short of it. Device is amazing.

Installation was simple. I made a couple of test cuts & it does catch more of the sawdust than the original dust chute. After using the saw for a series of cuts on a job, I'll have a better grasp on exactly how much better... So Far... So Good.

This did not fit my very old 12" Ridgid miter saw

This dust collector, coupled together with a Festool extractor, works to get rid of most dust from my Ridgid 12" miter saw, making my small garage shop much cleaner over time! Stoked so far!

Works ok just like the video says. Still some dust but it is better. Totally SOL if you want to do any 45-40 +degree compound mitters. The plastic hits the back fence.

This dust collector is fantastic. Easy to install, and it works!! The only thing better than the product is the service provided by the company. I broke my collection unit because of user error. I did not correctly secure a piece of wood and was very fortunate that my dust collector was the only thing injured. I contacted the company to see if I could purchase just the broken piece. ShopNation’s response was that I was within their warranty period, and that a free replacement was being shipped. I responded thanking them, but also explained that this was not a warranty issue…this was a damage issue due to my error. I requested an invoice for the part. My request to pay for the item I damaged was declined. I recommend this item because it works great and is easy to install. I recommend the company because they treated me so far above and beyond any normal/fair expectations. THANK YOU!!!!

Nice ...all went well with installation. Very easy watched the video.. no problems took maybe 30 minutes . works as i expected ..doesn't get all the saw dust but definitely a big big improvement

Everything went just as expected. Easy assembly, great instructions. Only issue I discovered is when tilt the saw to cut angle, the rubber membrane catches on the wood and the saw destroys it. This is not when u turn the saw, only when u tilt it.

It went on easily and catches a lot more than the other after market one I had on there. It also doesn't get in the way or limit the size of boards in any way.

Doesn’t work as well as I would have liked it too. Saw still makes a huge mess. Honestly kinda disappointed with the dust collection of it. Won’t be buying another for my home miter saw.

My miter saw is so much better at collecting saw dust now. I wish I had gotten one sooner. The install took about 10 minutes.

With my particular setup when cutting solid wood it is 90% better than what I had before. MDF is about 60% better than it was before. Cutting MDF really slow will also help no matter what you are using. This is definitely going to cut down the dust in my garage that usually gets everywhere. I highly recommend these products.

i was not sure it would work the way i wanted but it is great, wish i got one of these a long time ago. It works great and little to no dust escapes the saw.

This is the second time that I bought the vacuum attachment for my miter saw. I thought that they would last but a piece of wood popped up and hit the part that cause it to shatter. The second one would not allow the mounting screws to be screwed into the unit. It ended up cracking the mount but I was able to glue it together. The only screws that are not included with the attachment are the ones that I needed to mount it to the saw.

Phenomenal product! I could if believe how much dust it was able to capture. The customer service was stellar. I had a knucklehead kickback that broke it. They offered half off to reorder. I declined because it was my fault, not theirs. And why have small business pay for my mistake. I did ask for a little longer hose from the supplied one. It fit but could’ve used a little bit more. They sent me extra hose to make attaching to my shop vac easier. I highly recommend this for any miter saw. And you can be rest assured that they have phenomenal customer service. Thank you!!! Jason

Assembled to my Rigid 12 inch saw with the greatest of ease. Assembly video was very good . Used adapter to a 2 inch hose to a dust cyclone...to my shop vac. As described, not 100 % dust collected but a major improvement.. Well done Shopnation

It's easy to install and works very well. The only gripe I have is that the large adapter is too loose for my 2 1/2" shop vac hose and I don't like to use tape. The smaller one fits fine. I used zip ties to fasten it to the handle because I found that the adapter assembly would get stuck while cutting smaller stock. All in all, I would still recommend this aftermarket dust shute. It's well-designed and a breeze to install. Maybe it would be a little better if the flex-hose were a little longer. Great job. Thank you.

Works as predicted.

The install video was easy to follow. The dust collection is far superior to the original. The one problem I had was with thick enough lumber the dust collection sleeve can get cut a bit by the saw. This doesn’t bother me, as it still collects fine.

This is an amazing dust collector for my Ridgid saw. Very easy to install, and performs wonderfully. Being a retired CAD instructor, I’m very familiar with 3D printing. The quality and tolerance are exceptional, also the reverse engineering for this sliding saw is well thought out. Would highly recommended this product and company.

Dust collection shoot fit perfectly on my 12" compound miter saw. Easy to install, and works great and picking up the majority of the dust from the blade. I am very satified!

Item was as described and easy to install - it works better than I expected

Would have included pics/video if it wasn't so darn hot out there right now :) This was one of those purchases that seemed too good to be true. I've tried several different methods to reduce dust from my miter saw (Rigid 12") including a very expensive hood that, in theory is a really sound idea, but in practicality, just didn't work nearly as advertised. This product seemed so simple, that I doubted it would work very well, but worth a try. I'm absolutely thrilled with this unit. Extremely easy to install and terrific instructions. Had the old piece out and replaced with the new one in probably less than half an hour. Used it for a handful of test cuts (wasn't really working on a project at the time), but immediately saw a huge improvement. I love how the advertising was so honest - it mentioned that it won't eliminate all dust (and, let's be honest... NOTHING will), but, if installed correctly, would make a big difference.... and it did. I also love that it's made here in The USA. It's for sure a quality product. I combined this part with one of those control boxes from Amazon that turns on the shop vac the same time the saw starts, this combo has truly been geat at reducign sawdust from flying all over my workbench based on where my saw it located.

Assembly was quite simple following along with the video. As far as collecting dust, I think it does a great job. Good product.

This is a game-changer. I used to take my sliding miter saw outside to do any work in order to keep the dust outside and not make a mess of my workspace. With this upgraded dust collection chute, I can now work in my indoor space without having to worry about getting dust everywhere on the floor. I also feel more comfortable not turning off my HVAC system, fearing dust getting pulled into the blower wheel. Great product, super easy install. I have already recommended it to a number of people. Installed it on me Ridgid saw and it works great...

Using my compound miter saw has always been a messy proposition, and since a lot of my cutting involves exotic species that produce some potentially toxic sawdust, this little baby has been a godsend. It sucks more than Facebook, which is saying a lot. It captures more dust than an 80-year old member of congress. It's a win-win by any measure.

Easy to install, work’s great

I bought this about 2 weeks ago and installed in under 20 minutes. Hardest thing is figuring out the location of your dust collection vacuum hose(this is not really hard). I had a homemade wood catch basin behind the fence on my miter saw but I could not go 45° to the right and when I did do 45° to the left, it shot dust all over my bench. This does not catch everything, but it is 95% better Then the stock set up My neighbor has a saw just like mine and I sent a picture that day to him and told him he needed this.

Dust Collection was great!!

Other than a slight clearance issue (which support provided a solution for), installation was quick and easy - definitely watch the video. Once installed, it definitely cuts down on the sawdust - night and day difference!

Bought the one for the 12" Ridged saw and it did fit and work on my 10" Ridgid saw with drilling and tapping 2 of the 4 screws. It also really does capture more sawdust. Glad I purchased.

Good product. Packaged well. Video instructions were well done. I am having an issue with the saw cutting into the flap even though I followed the instructions well. It works as expected.

I found the little short hose and the connecting devices (adapters) that came with the package to be ineffective. The hose was too short to get it out of the way of the slide moving back and forth. It would either get hung up while moving the slide one way or get crimped when moving it in the other direction. The little connecting devices would not stay connected. I resurrected a vacuum hose that I bought from Rockler many years ago that fit directly to the dust chute perfectly. It is long enough to accommodate the sliding of the saw in both directions, and I was able to tie it up out of the way so that it would not get hung or crimped. I did that by inserting a wooden dowel into the saw carry handle and taping the hose to it. Works great now, and although I cannot definitively say it captures 90% of the dust, I see very little dust on the floor behind the saw where it used to pile up. So, in summary, once I was able to get it properly connected to my vacuum, it performed admirably. The dust chute does a great job, but the hose adapters and the little hose did not work for me. Otherwise, I am very pleased with its performance. Item type: R4222 / Send me both! (Lg + Md)

Add me to the list of people skeptical of how much difference this could really make, BUT I am now THOROUGHLY IMPRESSED. This thing is AMAZING! I wondered where my small cutoffs were going- the collection is so good, it picked them up. I know - that may not be desired, but it demonstrates how good it works. LOVE IT. Literally the only dust I have is when I forget to turn on my shop vac.

This new dust collection attachment for my Ridgid miter saw works great! It's a game changer, it leaves a very small amount of dust around the saw and on the floor compared to how it was before. Very pleased.

This was easy to install and definitely makes a difference. The only thing I noticed was that the supplied zip ties were about an inch short for my R4221 setup - not an issue for me because I have plenty of longer zip ties in the shop.

My saw is a R4222T looks nothing like the instruction video, Have not been able to fit it?

Can confirm this works on the 10” saw. Just need to drill a new hole in the hub adapter. The hole toward the back of the saw are too far back. But taped the hub adapter up and drilled a hole a tad smaller than the screw and we are good to go. 1000% better dust collection compared to the stock version.

The install video was great and really easy to follow. Made a few cuts with my shop vac hooked up to it and it reduced the amount of dust dramatically. I would say a 90% reduction. Thank you so much for making this product!
