Part did not fit. I knew there is not a direct fit dust collector for my specific saw, but took a chance anyway. Hopefully they will develop one soon. Delivery and packaging were acceptable.

Huge improvement over what comes standard (basically what comes standard on both my miter saws is completely worthless), but was hoping it would catch more than it did on my first couple uses. Hoping a big part of it is my existing shop vac is just not powerful enough, and an upgrade to a more powerful shop vac or dust collection system will add to what it catches. I would buy it again, but can’t quite give it a 5 star yet.

Couldn't cut anything over 4 inches high. It would catch the back of the wood and pushed it into the blade.

Very disappointed in the dust collection. I see no improvement over the original Rigid connector and the cheap rubber material that is screwed to the printed plastic piece tore after the second cut because it runs into the board being cut. This has the look and feel of a $3 part (zip ties to mount the hose?) but is priced like a professionally made product. I feel like I got ripped off and I probably won't buy anything from ShopNation again

The dust shut mounted easily however I found the flexible hose lacking in length especially when using the saw extended for cutting wide pieces.
When doing that the flexible hose was stretched to its limit.

I purchased one of these a year ago and have been loving it, I then made a mistake and had a kick back when cutting a 4x4 and it blew the dust shoot up. (always wear safety glasses!). I only needed a few pieces but couldn't find them on the site for sale as individuals so they gave me 50% off to buy a whole new kit. Beset upgade for the miter saw you can get!

Bought it for the 10” R4210, only used it twice, works very well for straight cuts, anything passed a 30 degree bevel and the chute has to be removed or else it risks getting cut by the saw which is unfortunate, but also this was designed for the 12” saw so I’ll take what I can get.

The dust port is a huge improvement, there is not doubt about that, although What I didn’t know is the rubber boot is a consumable product an I would have ordered additional ones because on my first cut the blade cut the boot on its first bevel cut. The fence pushed the boot at the right angle it nicked the blade. I have noticed the same experience on another brand saw so it’s not specific to my saw. This product is a solid 4.75 . I really like how the hose an fitting swivel together with out unlocking great design!
I say it’s improved the dust flying all over the saw an mess 90% better!

It works well and was easy to install. I do think the silicone flap piece could be a half inch longer so it could catch a little more blow by dust. I do see an issue with the flexible hose pinching on the slide going back on the crown lever. 12" saw has quite a bit travel. Compared to the factory dust shoot this is a good upgrade. I hope the flexible hose has a decent life span, as it seems to do a lot of travel. I don't know if it is possible to have a 6" rigid tube on the collector before the flexible hose is attached to help with the travel and the hose pinching.

Easy to install. Hose provided was way short to use as noted in the You Tube instructions. If you added 2-3 more inches it would be the best. I had to improvise. Not sure long term with improvisation but right now I like how much it does capture.

Installation was very simple, had to cut a couple of boards after installation. Where did all the sawdust go?? Right in the vacuum. Sure, there was very little on the machine, even less on the floor. Wow!!

I have several different Rockler adapters for the Rigid vacuum I am using and unfortunately none of them will fit either of the included adapters. I had to rig something together and then tape it to prevent them from pulling apart. The quarter turn locking system is not tight enough to keep the supplied adapters from falling of the of the mating section, again had to tape them together. It is a nice feature having points on the end of the hose to use zip ties, however the flexible hose is too short to be able to attach it to the saw and allow full extension and range of motion. For the price I expected better fitment and usability. I wanted to really like this dust collection accessory, but because of these issues I am not impressed.

My wife and I wanted to build some bookshelves, but because we live in Minnesota we couldn't use our new RIGID compound mitre saw in the garage because it was too cold. Using the Sliding Miter Saw Dust Collection Chute we bought from Shop Nation allowed us to cut the wood for our bookshelves in our kitchen with minimal cleanup! The installation video was easy to follow and took no time at all to install. Great product and Shop Nation made the entire process a piece of cake, without the sawdust!

I have bought this device twice in a 60 day span and both times it has broken due to impact. If you are cutting a small piece the offcut can fly off and shatter the collector. The factory collector has been on the saw for over a year without mishap so I don't think this is operator error. I will stick with the factory collector.

Went on with no issues....that was a relief in-of-itself.
Certainly doesn't get 100%, but if I'd have to put a number to it, I'd put it at 90%. I have a Grizzly dust collection chute directly attached to my mitre saw and it seems to be working very well. I would definitely recommend your dust collection !!

This is the second one I have ordered. they work great until a cutoff is kicked up into the collection funnel. That was operator error for sure but a git destructive.

I bought this for a Ridgid R4113 12" Miter Saw and it's been an incredible improvement over using my shop vac on the miter saw. I expected this Ridgid saw to have better dust collection with a shop hooked up to it over my 6 year old Kobalt but the shop vac felt like it was collecting nearly nothing.
After I put this on(incredibly simple and quick installation) it was night and day. It's wild how much of a difference it makes. Was not expecting these kind of results. Only problem though is now I'm in way less of a rush to buy a proper dust collector for the shop.

It seems to work a bit better than stock, however, the fact that there's nowhere to attach the exhaust port to a fixed location is a real P.I.T.A. & seems to put more stress on the flexible hose. So not sure about the longevity of the hose, not to mention it sometimes blocks the saw from a full extension or a complete closure.
If you can figure out a fixed mount location, it would be great !!!

I got this for my R4221 Ridgid Dual compound miter saw.
As the picture shows I lost about 1/2 inch of travel on the slide which really doesn’t affect anything under about 50 degrees. With that said, this is GREAT !!
I’m 69 years old and this thing has more suction than my high school sweetheart !

Easy to assemble and effective. The only thing that didn't work for me was the rubber flap, it is too big and when it touches the material being cut, it either gets sucked by the vacuum or destroyed by the saw. I had to install the extra flap that came in the package and make it shorter.
