It works well and was easy to install. I do think the silicone flap piece could be a half inch longer so it could catch a little more blow by dust. I do see an issue with the flexible hose pinching on the slide going back on the crown lever. 12" saw has quite a bit travel. Compared to the factory dust shoot this is a good upgrade. I hope the flexible hose has a decent life span, as it seems to do a lot of travel. I don't know if it is possible to have a 6" rigid tube on the collector before the flexible hose is attached to help with the travel and the hose pinching.

Easy to install. Hose provided was way short to use as noted in the You Tube instructions. If you added 2-3 more inches it would be the best. I had to improvise. Not sure long term with improvisation but right now I like how much it does capture.

So far so good. My dust collection is not quite finished so still getting a little sawdust in the back of the saw. Otherwise, I love the directional flow of the chips while cutting.

Installation was very simple, had to cut a couple of boards after installation. Where did all the sawdust go?? Right in the vacuum. Sure, there was very little on the machine, even less on the floor. Wow!!

I have several different Rockler adapters for the Rigid vacuum I am using and unfortunately none of them will fit either of the included adapters. I had to rig something together and then tape it to prevent them from pulling apart. The quarter turn locking system is not tight enough to keep the supplied adapters from falling of the of the mating section, again had to tape them together. It is a nice feature having points on the end of the hose to use zip ties, however the flexible hose is too short to be able to attach it to the saw and allow full extension and range of motion. For the price I expected better fitment and usability. I wanted to really like this dust collection accessory, but because of these issues I am not impressed.

My wife and I wanted to build some bookshelves, but because we live in Minnesota we couldn't use our new RIGID compound mitre saw in the garage because it was too cold. Using the Sliding Miter Saw Dust Collection Chute we bought from Shop Nation allowed us to cut the wood for our bookshelves in our kitchen with minimal cleanup! The installation video was easy to follow and took no time at all to install. Great product and Shop Nation made the entire process a piece of cake, without the sawdust!

I have bought this device twice in a 60 day span and both times it has broken due to impact. If you are cutting a small piece the offcut can fly off and shatter the collector. The factory collector has been on the saw for over a year without mishap so I don't think this is operator error. I will stick with the factory collector.

Went on with no issues....that was a relief in-of-itself.
Certainly doesn't get 100%, but if I'd have to put a number to it, I'd put it at 90%. I have a Grizzly dust collection chute directly attached to my mitre saw and it seems to be working very well. I would definitely recommend your dust collection !!

This is the second one I have ordered. they work great until a cutoff is kicked up into the collection funnel. That was operator error for sure but a git destructive.

Great accessory for my saw, only thing that could be improved is replacing the mounting screws to attached the rubber flaps; it takes away, looking cheesy, when looking and comparing the rest of the good quality material of the chute body & Hub Adapter Assembly.

I bought this for a Ridgid R4113 12" Miter Saw and it's been an incredible improvement over using my shop vac on the miter saw. I expected this Ridgid saw to have better dust collection with a shop hooked up to it over my 6 year old Kobalt but the shop vac felt like it was collecting nearly nothing.
After I put this on(incredibly simple and quick installation) it was night and day. It's wild how much of a difference it makes. Was not expecting these kind of results. Only problem though is now I'm in way less of a rush to buy a proper dust collector for the shop.

It seems to work a bit better than stock, however, the fact that there's nowhere to attach the exhaust port to a fixed location is a real P.I.T.A. & seems to put more stress on the flexible hose. So not sure about the longevity of the hose, not to mention it sometimes blocks the saw from a full extension or a complete closure.
If you can figure out a fixed mount location, it would be great !!!

I got this for my R4221 Ridgid Dual compound miter saw.
As the picture shows I lost about 1/2 inch of travel on the slide which really doesn’t affect anything under about 50 degrees. With that said, this is GREAT !!
I’m 69 years old and this thing has more suction than my high school sweetheart !

Easy to assemble and effective. The only thing that didn't work for me was the rubber flap, it is too big and when it touches the material being cut, it either gets sucked by the vacuum or destroyed by the saw. I had to install the extra flap that came in the package and make it shorter.

Was easy to install and decreased the amount of dust as advertised! The only issue is if you are cutting anything thicker than 3 inches the rubber gets pushed up into the blade and chewed up.

Works ok just like the video says. Still some dust but it is better. Totally SOL if you want to do any 45-40 +degree compound mitters. The plastic hits the back fence.

The only thing better than the product is the service provided by the company. I broke my collection unit because of user error. I did not correctly secure a piece of wood and was very fortunate that my dust collector was the only thing injured. I contacted the company to see if I could purchase just the broken piece. ShopNation’s response was that I was within their warranty period, and that a free replacement was being shipped.
I responded thanking them, but also explained that this was not a warranty issue…this was a damage issue due to my error. I requested an invoice for the part.
My request to pay for the item I damaged was declined.
I recommend this item because it works great and is easy to install. I recommend the company because they treated me so far above and beyond any normal/fair expectations.

Nice ...all went well with installation. Very easy watched the video.. no problems took maybe 30 minutes . works as i expected ..doesn't get all the saw dust but definitely a big big improvement

Everything went just as expected. Easy assembly, great instructions. Only issue I discovered is when tilt the saw to cut angle, the rubber membrane catches on the wood and the saw destroys it. This is not when u turn the saw, only when u tilt it.

With my particular setup when cutting solid wood it is 90% better than what I had before. MDF is about 60% better than it was before. Cutting MDF really slow will also help no matter what you are using. This is definitely going to cut down the dust in my garage that usually gets everywhere. I highly recommend these products.

This is the second time that I bought the vacuum attachment for my miter saw. I thought that they would last but a piece of wood popped up and hit the part that cause it to shatter. The second one would not allow the mounting screws to be screwed into the unit. It ended up cracking the mount but I was able to glue it together. The only screws that are not included with the attachment are the ones that I needed to mount it to the saw.
