I had a hood but even with two shop vacs it still required the hood to be vacuumed out frequently. Your dust collector was easy to install and so far collects 75-80% of the dust. Very satisfied.

Really like the dust collector. Need to be careful when cutting thicker items as the rubber dust shield may collapse into the saw blade. I avoided it.

Everything went on easily and looks good. The only issue was the 2.25" hose adaptor, which doesn't fit as shown in the video. If I heat it up to soften it, then it should slide in, and then I'll glue it to make it secure.

I just finished cutting 14-10 foot long 8/4 material into 28 inch long boards, the little saw dust you see is less than half of what it used to be with cutting one board. I purchased this with some reservations but I was sick and tired of all the dust, thank you it works better than advertised.
This is fantastic and it captures a lot more than I expected. This is a must have for a small shop.
Works really well. Installed easily as I followed along with the installation video. When cutting I would estimate the new shoot captures 80-90% of the dust. After cutting multiple 2x4s the saw barely had any sawdust on it. Wish I would have purchased sooner.

It was amazing to me how much more saw dust was collected by the new Shop Nation dust chute versus the chute that came with my Rigid saw. I would agree with what I had seen mentioned by others that over 90% of the dust is collected with the new chute. In my case I'd say over 95%. A ton of dust was going all over the saw, vacuum hose, and a large portion of the garage floor and nearby stuff using the old OEM chute. It seemed like the OEM chute collected nothing even though I had it connected to my shop vac. It was annoying having to constantly sweep everything and keep from tracking the dust everywhere. Now there's hardly any dust and what little escapes the chute stays around the saw table. The new chute was easy to install and the installation video was well done. I only had a couple issues. One of the four screws that mounts the hub adapter to the saw could never be fully tightened. It's tightening resistance was constant from start to finish and never got snug like the other three but just kept turning. Its a threadless connection. The other issue was with how to secure the chute hose and the vacuum hose connected to it. A couple tie wraps were provided with the chute kit but there was nothing stationary near the chute hose that it could be secured to. I found that the vacuum hose could be secured to the end of the saw's guide rail which would also support the chute hose at the same time. However, the tie wraps would have to be cut off each time I wanted to use the vacuum for something else. I ended up using a small ball type bungee cord which is easily attached and removed. This is a complete total waste of money. The cheap plastic broke and now it’s completely worthless to me. I will make sure to get online and let everybody know that they should avoid this product at all costs.
Drastically cuts down on dust. After going through pneumonia this product has been a serious life saver. I really really like the products that shop nation offers and it was so easy to install. Highly recommend 👌 👍. Keeps job sight so much cleaner and hooked up to my big 16 gallon Ridgid 6.5 HP. Vaccum with a bag and a heppa filter and diffuser.... thier is no dust or mess. Even works awesome with my Ridgid 5.0 HP vack with bag heppa filter and diffuser is just as good. I wish I got it a long time ago due to the stock one not being so great. It also has the two attachments to make it easy to switch vacuums depending on the job. Buy it your love it no matter what brand sliding dual bevell compound saw you have. Great job shop nation hands down.
Just installed it , used it to cut mdf casing so far works fantastic, have to see how it works when cutting baseboard which stands taller when cutting
WOW, WOW & WOWZER! I built this ginormous shroud for my Ridgid miter CHOP saw & and the manufacturing exhaust still spewed sawdust everywhere, thankfully in the shroud that I built. But it still was a humongous pain in the butt! I attached The Shop Nation exhaust and it literally removes 98% of the sawdust. I no longer need this ginormous shroud and I couldn’t be more pleased! I wish I had done this way sooner! I realized that I was doing things that could’ve been done on the chopsaw on my table saw because it has a much stronger exhaust for sawdust. I am now back on my chopsaw regularly and it makes life so much easier in my workshop! If you’re on the fence about buying this… Jump off and buy this exhaust from Shop Nation, you will not regret it!

I would’ve thought that it would’ve picked up more of the dust from the miter saw. It’s better than it was but not great. And now I just use it and the plastic severed completely off.
It works as advertised! I no longer have to put up dust collecting hood on my Rigid 4222 for all my cuts. That’s a major plus for a small basement shop where minimal dust is imperative. Very impressed!

I would love to rate the dust collector. If you look at the photo you see there is no dust collection on my saw. I ordered from Shop Nation on September 14th. The next email confirmed the order. On the 16th of September an email with shipping information attached. Fast forward to today (September 30th) and I still don't have the dust collector on my saw.
This is a great product! The stock chute allows so much dust past, but with this chute and a vac/cyclone system it virtually minimized the usual dust easily by 90%. Much cleaner jobsites!
Works great. I’ve tried numerous ways to make my miter station dust free with no luck. This works great!
Disclaimer: so far we have only cut PVC decking with the new dust collection system. If you have never cut PVC decking it makes a huge mess! This system works well to help collect the shavings. Depending on the type of blade you are using (fine finish or framing) that will change the effectiveness of the actual vacuum system. By that I mean if the shavings are larger/heavier the vacuum system struggles to pick them up. That part has nothing to do with the dust collection pieces from shop nation though! All in all we are happy with our purchase and we think it is effective for what we needed.

Easy install, love how well it works with my shop-vac. A huge upgrade over the stock dust port on my Ridgid chop saw!
It works well and was easy to install. I do think the silicone flap piece could be a half inch longer so it could catch a little more blow by dust. I do see an issue with the flexible hose pinching on the slide going back on the crown lever. 12" saw has quite a bit travel. Compared to the factory dust shoot this is a good upgrade. I hope the flexible hose has a decent life span, as it seems to do a lot of travel. I don't know if it is possible to have a 6" rigid tube on the collector before the flexible hose is attached to help with the travel and the hose pinching.
Easy to install. Hose provided was way short to use as noted in the You Tube instructions. If you added 2-3 more inches it would be the best. I had to improvise. Not sure long term with improvisation but right now I like how much it does capture.
This little device captures at least twice as much of the sawdust as the factory installed dust collection device.

Great accessory for my saw, only thing that could be improved is replacing the mounting screws to attached the rubber flaps; it takes away, looking cheesy, when looking and comparing the rest of the good quality material of the chute body & Hub Adapter Assembly.

I bought this for a Ridgid R4113 12" Miter Saw and it's been an incredible improvement over using my shop vac on the miter saw. I expected this Ridgid saw to have better dust collection with a shop hooked up to it over my 6 year old Kobalt but the shop vac felt like it was collecting nearly nothing. After I put this on(incredibly simple and quick installation) it was night and day. It's wild how much of a difference it makes. Was not expecting these kind of results. Only problem though is now I'm in way less of a rush to buy a proper dust collector for the shop.
