This works well, but the saw will not advance all the way through so the board is not cut all the way. I have to finish the cut with a hand saw. The frame apparently touches the provided tube, resulting is a shorter stroke.

The installation video is well done and made it easy to install. However, I am not confident that it has improved the dust collection much at all for me. Suction is certainly there but there seems to be a lot of sawdust deflecting off of the rubber piece. Installed on the Hercules 12" sliding miter saw.

I am very please to solve a problem so easily. Prior to installing this attachment to our miter saw, things got messy fast. The OEM dust bag is laughable in performance.
Installation was a breeze thanks to the video.
Our work shop has a gravel floor and clean up after a big project has always been a monumental chore.

This was easy to install and the video link helped. Only thing I would change or do different would make the channel that the rubber flap goes in deeper so it don’t try to pull out right away when you slid your saw back and forth

The dust collection replacement was easy to install and I definitely see an improvement in how much sawdust is vacuumed away. No problem with 45 degree miter cuts except fence has to be adjusted more than previous. Very happy with it so far.

So far I’ve been terribly disappointed. I have my collector installed on the Hercules 12” miter saw. There seems to way too much sawdust ricocheting off of the rubber shield. It seems since the actual avenue for the sawdust to travel has been focused on one side, that anything that doesn’t have a direct path to that opening, bounce off creating a mess. There seems to be plenty of suction air velocity at the opening but the funneling effort to get the rest of the dust to that point fails.
It’s a nice looking piece but in my opinion not effective at all.

Works exactly as advertised. Not a 100% solution, to be sure, but I can't imagine an easier 90% solution. What others haven't noted is that the 90% includes virtually all of the fine dust, which is what makes the widest mess and is most inhalable. The remaining 10% is overwhelmingly the coarse stuff, which doesn't hang in the air or fly very far, making cleanup even easier than the 10% figure would suggest.

I am so impressed with the Shop Nation dust collection port for my Hercules Miter saw! The product is well designed and easy to install. The video instructions were very clear and specific to my particular saw. The OEM dust port was just a lame chute into a bag. With the addition of the Shop Nation dust port, I now have active dust collection right behind the blade. Everything that I needed to connect to my shop vac was included with my order. Works as advertised. Much improved dust collection on the Hercules mitre saw, the machine with the world's sorst dust collection system. No device that I know of will collect all dust from a mitre saw but this one does a creditable job. Easy to install in 10-20 minutes following clear directions provided.

This miter box dust collection addition performs very well. Fit and finish or the attachment is great, and it is streamlined to the saw body. Any nuisance dust and chips are now limited to a small amount that is quite manageable now. Totally worth the investment.

I have to say that the improvement is nothing short of remarkable. We all know that miter saw dust collection is never going to be 100% or even close, but this product has changed a near sell and change saw decision to a keeper for my Hercules saw. Was easy to install with great instructions! The cut down on the dust is about 50% better but still doesn’t get all of it. So I will keep it on and build a dust collection box to trap the other shavings that is not picked up by the device.

This dust collection upgrade for my HE74 is a night and day difference from the dust collection that came on the saw. To say that the stock dust collection was worthless is an understatement. After installing the new Shop Nation dust collection, I'd say my dust around the saw is 95 percent less or better. I'd highly recommend to anyone who wants the ultimate upgrade to their Hercules 12" sliding miter saw. You will NOT be disappointed!

The unit fit my Hercules saw well. The only feedback would be to include or offer a bracket that secured the dust collection outlet a bit better. The zip ties are okay but something a bit more permanent would be preferred. Nice design otherwise. I would recommend.

I used the Shop Nation Dust collection on a Hercules 12 inch sliding Miter saw for one full day of cutting in my shop. I have only had it for a little more than a week. It was connected to a Craftsman 9 gal Vac that was always used with this Saw. The results were actually surprising to me because I only needed a short time to clean up because the throw back was reduced by about 70 %. You have a great product here that installs in minutes and has very good performance. This was money well spent, Kudos to Shop Nation.

was cutting a 4x4 and all of a sudden the dust collection exploded into a thousand pieces one piece took off the very end of my thumb not bad but a lot of blood. I e mailed shop nation about it and have heard absolutely nothing in over a week. It also ruined my saw but harbor freight replaced it without any problem. I would have liked to have just gotten some acknowledgement from shop nation. I would caution anyone thinking about buying this dust collection system to not do it.

It works Great. I'm glad I was given an extra rubber flap because I was not aware the fence on the Hercules HE74 was too close, and the blade took a bite. You could have used that warning in your video, which was very helpful to install.

Over all the product works. I would like to see a change made with the adapters. The raised bump to create a positive lock would be better if the bump and matching groove was higher/deeper for a more secure lock for the tubing. Mine barly holds in place. The other suggestion wold be to have the rubber flap alittle wider the capure more debris from the blade. Keep up the good work and hope the suggestions wold help with further improvements. Thanks

I was extremely happy that Shop nation included the Hercules chopsaw. I ordered the desk collection. And replaced the original equipment, manufacturing dust collection, and was extremely impressed. Admittedly, I’ve not put it through the pieces but so far it’s been great. I will have to say, I’m so glad that nation took the time to improve what we all know is a need for improve dust collection. Plus by the way it looks pretty rock and cool.

I was skeptical but decided to give it a try. To my surprise, it works very well. There is still some dust but not anything like before with the useless factory item that collapsed inward when a vacuum was attached. This attachment fits well, is close to the blade for efficiency yet is not in the way. The hose coupling was well designed and attaches cleanly on the top of the saw, out of the way. Well done!

I, like others, can attest to the fact we use our miters saws quite a bit. Unfortunately it makes a mess that can be a pain to deal with. I made my miter table and was about to work on a a dust box to connect to my larger dust collector system. I saw this at Shop Nation and gave it a try. It is a game changer. I put it with a large shop vac, a cyclone collector and a timed switch to turn it on when I start the miter saw. I could not be happier and do not at this moment plan on building the box behind the saw.

The amount of Saw Dust that this New one removes compared to the manufacturers Dust port is Crazy, this New one serves its main purpose perfectly, Shop Nation Rocks! Very easy to install looks good on the Machine and really makes a difference, and all I used was a Shop Vac with a 55 gal Drum dust collection that I put together, In the video you can actually hear the extra Sucktion for dust removal,

Works as advertised. Be careful if you have the adjustable fence all the way in and cut a tall board = 4x4 because the flap will get cut by the blade. Easy fix with a bit of tape (and I purchased a second flap) but something to be aware of.

THE VACUUM ACCESSORY WORKS GREAT BUT THE VACUUM FITTING (WHICH I DID RECEIVE IN THE SHIPMENT) DIDN'T FIT A RIGID 2.5 INCH HOSE.. WOUND UP USING TAPE UNTIL I FIND A BETTER SOLUTION.

I just received and installed my new dust collection upgrade for my Hercules sliding miter saw!
Install was super easy with the video tutorial that explained the process step by step. It took me about 20 minutes start to finish.
All of the parts were included and packaged well with a nice SN sticker I promptly placed on the miter saw when I was done installing.
I must say, I wasn’t sure what to expect and was hoping for marginal improvement with the dust collection for this saw. It’s a beast and makes a big mess!
However with the Shop Nation upgrade kit installed I can already tell you that the dust collection is 4000% better than the OEM setup. (There is a +\- 2% margin of error in my calculations).
I really think this is going to make this saw a lot more pleasant to use and will dramatically cut down on clean up time.
I highly recommend this upgrade for your Hercules saw. Makes a great saw even better!

This item SUCKS... amazingly well!
I was not expecting a lot from this product. Especially the improvement claimed over the stock dust collection setup. But, it was worth a try as the cost was not outrageous. I bought the deluxe package (my words) with the extra flap. Delivery took a while, but it is a pre-order that is to be expected. The item came packed well and the quality is excellent. Installation with the included QR code link to the video guide was a breeze. There were no issues with the installation and everything fit fantastically.
The performance is wonderful. Dust collection improved greatly, but not 100% as you are never going to get that with a miter saw. But so much so that I would say 75% - 85% improvement. This was so worth the money spent in my opinion.
Customer service is top-notch! There was one hiccup, so I shot a quick email off and on a SATURDAY, I got a response. (You guys need to take the weekend off). The issue was addressed right there and then. I can't say enough good things about my experience, both with the product and the customer service. I will be looking forward to future products from Shop Nation because I know the quality they strive for.

The 3D printing surface finish on the interior portion of the dust collector is not great but I don't think this will impact performance too much. I would like to see that be a little smoother as that is where the air will be flowing but it could also be a one off as the print farm setup will have variability. Overall, great product and would recommend to a friend!
