Finally had a chance to install the dust chute on my Herculee 12 inch sliding compound miter saw. It took only half an hour and it works great collecting almost all of the sawdust. Generally really like it! Its nice to not have my miter saw blasting my garage with dust :P As an engineer I would make one slight change to how the hose adapter locks in. I would make the notch and bump a bit more prominent. The flex of the filament makes it a bit too loose. Overall very good!

Was simple to install but had to rig a little to connect it to my shop-vac. Takes care of about 85% of the debris, so a way big improvement as I used to cover the wall of my garage .

I am in the UK and this dust boot fits perfectly on my Lumberjack PRO SERIES 12 Inch mitre saw. Dust collection is much much better than the factory dust boot but not perfect, hence 4 stars, but I guess to get 100% of the dust is virtually impossible. YouTube video fitting instructions very good so fitting boot was very straight forward. Very happy with my purchase and would recommend.

Way better than the factory part! Very happy with the purchase. Would rate it 5 stars, but the hose that came with it is about 6 inches to short. Or maybe consider swapping for a hose that stays expanded once you stretch it
out. This little inconvenience is definitely not a deal breaker. I'd buy this again

This has made a dramatic difference over the stock dust collection system. It does not get it all as you can see in the photo but after cutting 2 rooms of large MDF Crown that and a little on the floor was all it missed. Installation was really easy. So far I love it.

Installed easy enough. Doesn't work as well as I had hoped. Maybe because I am cutting green wood with a lot of moisture. The sawdust is damp and sticky. It's better than OEM but sawdust still goes everywhere. Also, the first thick board (3") that I cut it also cut the end of the rubber dust chute. When u push the saw down the rubber flattens out on the board and when slide saw back it cut about 3/4" in the middle of the rubber. Dust is a problem and hoped this would solve it. It does help some but wouldn't call it good.

Installation was easy but when I used it for the first time my vertical fences were in close to the blade opening and when I cut the test piece the rubber flap pushed against the fence which in turn pushed the flap into the blade and cut a chunk out of it.

The adapter did not fit my saw even though it is a Hercules, HE-74 model. The screws that attach the adapter to the saw is located differently than where your video shows it attaching. I'm not sure if they made different attachment points for the same model or not. I can supply photos if you desire.

Received 10 days after placing my order. There were no missing items and installation on my Hercules saw was straightforward per their referenced video. The fit was perfect. Operationally it collects at least 80% of the dust and doesn’t restrict my saw in any way.

It definitely helps with dust collection but one drawback is I have to open the fence up to allow the rubber piece that hangs down to have clearance, otherwise it gets caught up and tears out.

I like the design. It was a perfect fit. Only thing is I found the rubber to be too flimsy and it could be extended. I came up with a fix by adding a slim strip of metal and thicker rubber to the front and back. The metal helped to keep its shape and the added rubber helped to extend it. With that fix it collects more dust. For that price that fix should be included. I recommend this product and would still buy it again since it's an easy fix and I have the materials to do it.

Perfect fit. I did modify it a bit. Rubber sleeve seemed to be too thin. I added a slim strip of metal to keep its shape and an extra strip of rubber un the back and front . That made it a bit lower to capture more dust. Easy fix but for the price that should be included. I would buy it again.

Installation was very easy and straightforward. I'm running with the supplied blade from the Hercules manufacturer. This may have something to do with the subpar results as I do get many chips that make it past the collection system. This may be the blade and it may have to do with my choice of wood, which is birch plywood, both 1/2 and 3/4 thickness. I'm also going to add a zero clearance tape and I will quickly learn if that change is an improvement. Other than that, a new blade could help. I have great flow from my DeWalt vacuum, almost too much as it occasionally folds the rubber flap.

My saw was Easy to modify with the Shop Nation dust collection system. I added a Festool dust collector to the system. Everything fit perfectly and I finally have dust control. I only recently received the dust collection system for my Hercules Miter Saw and finally installed yesterday. Very easy and simple installation by following the detailed step by step online video. The system seems to be decent quality, even with it being plastic. I have been unable to use the original collection because when connected, the flap was so thin and flimsy the vacuum would suck it into the port and block the line. Hopefully this will be much better as the flap is considerably thicker material. Since I do my sawing outdoor, I’ve yet to use the system, but will be doing so in the coming days as weather allows as I have a few projects already lined up. Will update this after seeing the effectiveness of the new system.

It works well. I’d say about 80% of the dust gets sucked up now. That number would be higher but not because of any deficiencies in the Shop Nation product but the design of the Hercules saw itself.
My only knock is that on one point of the product there seems to be a small gap/crack where the 3D printer did not close up completely. That being said, it works and works well! Kudos to you guys. You made my life easier!
