Finally a solution that replaces the terrible dust collection attachment on your Hercules 12" HE74 Compound Sliding Miter Saw! You will see a HUGE improvement in dust collection efficiency with this upgrade - all without losing ANY effective saw capacity! This chute is printed in a blue color (close to the Hercules Blue) high strength PETG plastic with black PETG accessories.
NOTE: This solution is designed SPECIFICALLY for the HE74 model number. There is no guarantee that this will fit any other saw.
Miter saw is NOT included - shown for demonstration purposes only!
Blade changes: To change your blade you will need to loosen the (2) mounting screws to allow enough wiggle room to get the blade off. This minor inconvenience was a necessary evil to keep safety and dust collection efficiency as high as possible!

Which saws does it fit?
It's made specifically for the Hercules HE74 12" Sliding Compound Miter Saw. Match the model number on your saw's label before ordering.
Do I need a vacuum or dust collector?
Yes. The chute steers debris into your hose, so you'll need a shop vac or dust collector connected to it to get the full benefit.
How hard is it to install?
It's straightforward. It bolts into the same spot as the factory chute, with no cutting, drilling or modification to your saw. Most installs take a few minutes.
Can I go back to the factory chute?

The installation was easy once I watched the Video provided by scanning the WR code. The video explained the installation very clearly and showed exactly what to do. I’m very happy with the amount of sawdust now getting captured by the Collection Chute. Highly recommend.

It works as advertised
I am really surprised how well this works. My dust extractor worked pretty well before, but now I have very little to clean up afterwards. ITS A MUST HAVE
It was an easy installation and seems to work as described. Haven't had the time to continue with the desk thst I'm making for my granddaughter, so that will be the real test! I think it will do the dust collection just fine.
It is not perfect but it is light years better than the factory dust collection.

Not 100% doing about 85% to 90% better than original system that came installed on the Hercules Mitee Saw
Just installed it, works great, already cut a 12 foot 2x4 into different lengths with what I would say was 90% less dust flying around. I would note that the locking mechanism for the hose attachment kept coming off, but a little tape solved that problem. I used the large adapter to connect the hose to a 2 and half inch hose, which is connected to my 2HP dust collector. Lastly installation was straight forward and the instructional video was right on.

The installation was just like the reviews mentioned! Simple to install and works beautifully. My miter saw dust collection has never been so good. I have tried a number of fixes that were all supreme fails! This one is a Supreme Fix! I highly recommend this system.
This dust collection system fit like a glove and performs fantastic. I'm used to having the back of my shop just covered in sawdust. And now it's barely noticeable. Great design!
If you are over 70 watch the video on a large screen. I watched on my iPhone SE and the pictures were small and I did not grasp the position of where things were as I was very new to the saw. When I watched on a large computer screen I saw everything I needed to know. It was then very easy to install and that was accomplished quickly. This works so much better than the stock dust system on the saw. It easily reduces 70% of the dust. I am glad I got it and will keep it on for shop use.

The unit fit perfectly and, so far, appears to do a good job of catching most of the dust. Unfortunately, the supplied dust extractor hose adapters don't fit the Hercules dust extractor that I bought at the time I bought the saw. This is a minor issue. The supplies flex hose is not long enough and I would have appreciated a bit more flexibility on the direction that the extractor hose attaches.
Thanks to Shop Nation and its wonderful cure for my Hercules sawdust snorting problem, I have been able to permanently mount the saw in my mobile workshop, without worrying about covering everything in sawdust. The only thing I have to complain about these days is when I forget to turn on the vac and I am reminded of how good of a job my Shop Nation collection system does!

Picks up most of the dust, lots more than the original. Only thing is that you can see in my video that sawdust sticks to the rubber shield. No big deal. Would definitely buy it again!

I watched the installation video a couple of times then easily made the change. The collection chute appears to be good quality. I have a Rockler Dust Extractor running through a Vevor dust separator. The chute collected an overwhelming amount of the dust generated while cutting a 2x4.
Loved the fit and the easy of installing it. The color scheme was a perfect match. The performance has been on the marginal side to be honest. It is better than the stock dust collection shoot but so far not significantly better. I do not know if it is the result of the large blade or what, but it was not the home run I was hoping for.
Instructions were clear and it was easy to put together. But… I was really disappointed in what sawdust it did NOT pick up. I don’t think it did much better than the original saw dust collector. The pictures are from cross cutting a 2X6 with just three cuts.
Very nice product.
Works fantastic, with with the Hercules dust collector without any adapters. Make a huge difference on clean up, way way better then the factory one. Just watch how your set up the flapper, I missed a screw and the saw blade got it. Thankfully that send 2 😂

It's actually a fairly easy installation, if you follow the step by step video. It most certainly collects more sawdust that the factory installed system but it isn't a panacea for dust collection. I'm not aware of any system that is, short of installing a shroud around your miter saw. I haven't done a trimming out project since installing it but I am impressed by the amount of sawdust collected in my test cuts and the few off cuts that I have made.
Love it. Sucks a lot of dust however I sometimes use a zero clearance fence and when doing so it tore the rubber boot

Absolutely love the upgrade. I purchased the dust collection system upgrade before I bought the saw, then when Harbor Freight ran the huge 30% Off all Hercules corded power tools sale earlier this year I purchased the saw for $249. I had been waiting for the stand to go on sale, and last week I was finally able to pick it up for $89, so today I did the the set up of the whole miter saw system and installed the dust collection prior to making my first cut; I absolutely love the whole setup!
