This little chute does a pretty good job of catching the sawdust. It could be a half inch longer in my opinion, but I can do that myself with a piece of sheet rubber. The 3D printing is far better than I can do with my printer and this attachment is well worth the money.

The modification improves dust collection remarkably. Installation though was very difficult for me due to the last screw to remove that hid behind the power cord on the existing dust chute metal component. There was no slack to get the screwdriver in there and I didn't do the cord any favors when finally getting the screw out. No one seemed to have any hints to solve it so I just had to brute-force stretch the cable. Also a little concerned about the zip tie solution for the exhaust tube. Will probably research an alternative strap method because it tugs the power cord.

Had a mikita 12 inch sliding saw. It was terrible, spent as much time cleaning as I did cutting.
Bought this bosch and installed the shop nation stuff before I made the first cut.
For narrow stock there is virtually no sawdust to clean, for wider stock there is a little mess but still very little compared to my old set up.

It catches about 90 percent of the bust hardly any on the floor pretty easy to put on the saw I have a new Bosch different from my Ridgid 12 in. mite a very good product I'm glad I found it thank you

Install went just fine - my saw had some very tight clearance due to cable location from factory assembly, but it was no big deal. despite being largely 3D printed, the parts feel substantial and pretty strong.

I love it but just one detractor. When you attach the hose to the power cord it creates a rub point on the vacuum hose with the extension glide. I bypassed that with a little block that kicks it out from the saw frame. Other than that it's performance is excellent.

Installed per the instructions but dust collection remains poor (improved over OEM) but dissimilar to videos. Using an isolated rigid shop vac for dust extraction that has plenty of suction, just a considerable amount of dust not being pulled into the attachment. I looked for additional videos of comments for adjustments but could not find any relevant adjustments.

This is my second Shop Nation miter saw enhanced dust collection. Wasn’t all that impressed with the Dewalt one, but I’m giving this Bosch one a try since I replaced my Dewalt miter saw.

Parts are well made and are a good fit with the saw. Video instructions are straight forward and easy to follow. Took about 20 minutes to install. My saw was close to a wall and did not have enough clearance for the vacuum hose. I made a simple bracket to hold the hose off to the side.

Installation went fine, and you're right about Bosch putting thread locker on some of the screws. I managed to strip the phillips head on one, luckily I could reuse one of the screws from the Bosch dust chute. All good.

The Installation was very easy to do.
This part as immensely changed the dust extraction on my BOSCH GCM 12GDL (UK) saw, with the original OEM port it was removing only about 50 percent off the dust,
with the new port I would say it is removing over 90 percent of the dust. which makes my garage/workshop a lot cleaner.
I use my glide saw with a Festool dust extraction unit ,

Had the earlier version of the dust collector but while cutting angles hose to the vac I had attached pulled the unit into the blade and it was destroyed. My fault not the attachment. The new upgrade solves that problem and I am delighted with the new version!

Works as advertised. Assembly was straightforward although you have to have a little patience as four of the screws (the 4 that were reused from the saw) would not thread into the block. I thought the holes were misaligned at first, but once I got a flashlight I noticed there were no threads in the holes. I took the screws and threaded the holes and it all came together. Really works great.
PS: The picture is after I cut 8 boards. Barely any sawdust at all. Great product.

Great idea the only drawback I see is the poor design of attaching tubing to the saw just zipping it to the ac cord is not enough and can’t handle the weight of the extraction hose you need to utilize the tow screws available to rigidly attach it other than that I am very happy and grateful. Thanks

I did have some challenges removing the old dust shoot as one of the screws on my Bosch sliding miter saw was a bit challenging to take out. I’m currently using it with a dust extractor and I’m curious if it would be even better with my full-size dust collector.

Dust collection worked well, but on my first day of use a piece of material kicked back and the whole unit exploded into pieces. Not really a knock on the dust collection function, more on the quality and durability of material. The kick back was my fault and bad luck but I would have hoped the dust collector could withstand a little more inevitable shop abuse.

As a contractor over 40 years of service and looking for a nozzle for my Bosch saw and seeing your advertisement and then when I receive the package it was nothing like you advertise and basically what I call that is false advertisement so and and then my son realized that it was done on a 3D printer or something to that effect yeah it works it's not how I expected it to be at all from what the instructions were in the video was that was sent with it was nothing how what I've got with the product does it suck the dirt does it suck the dust does it leave any residue yes it does does it work completely no it does not so that's why I gave it a two-star rating

The installation video on YouTube made it simple, and I am pleased with the results. I will say that while cutting 4x4s or large material, the flexible chute bends in a way that throws sawdust laterally, but I think if I modify one of the 2 provided it should fix the issue. I definitely notice the increased dust management on smaller materials. Great product, great fit!

Easy to install. Collects most of the dust even without the vac hooked up. My only suggestion is to use metal grommets in the body to attach it to the saw. I used super glue on the screw threads.

I am very impressed with this design and fabrication. The fit is perfect, the materials are robust and installation is a breeze.
Once installed, which only takes minutes, the dust collection is far far better than the factory system. I'd say literally 90% better than the original. Its quite impressive.
I had to get used to the rubber flap as it seemed like it was going to interact with the blade when cutting over sized pieces, but it never did and really helps the dust collection system be efficient.
I am super impressed at all levels with the product, ordering and shipping.

This is my second dust collection chute from Shop Nation. I had bought one for my Dewalt 12" Miter saw and it worked so well i needed to get one for my Bosch 12" Glide saw when I decided to upgrade. Dust collection is a big upgrade from the standard supplied by the manufacturer. I needed to get an extension hose after the fact due to the setup I was using this for (poor planning on my part). So if you have a plan in place for the shop vac/dust extractor connection, make sure you have enough hose (or buy the extended hose at the same time).

This item is as big a failure as the last one I purchased. It leaves behind too much sawdust especially for the cost of the product. I’m using a Bosch GSM 12SD Miter Saw and honestly I could understand some sawdust being left behind but I have seen setups like this on Makers World work far better and for free or the cost of the filament to print it which is negligible. I will not be participating with this company in the future and plan to pass my sentiments to fellow woodworkers.

It seems to do a pretty good job of dust collection. I appreciate that the rubber flap is quit precisely sized so it’s as big as it can be without possibility of getting hit by the blade.
It does interfere with cutting sometimes on wide, thick boards.
I do not like the method for securing the hose end by zip-tying it to the power cable I do not like it at all.. The connection to the vacuum flops around all over the place. I would love to see a much more rigid mounting bracket that attaches in the screw hole for the power cable clamps.
